Americans killing English as usual.- MattgUP, on 07/22/2008, -3/+13How is Americans killing English?
- n3demonic, on 07/22/2008, -1/+2Me fail english? That's unpossible
- Odenized, on 07/22/2008, -1/+12I agree. If someone is said to have an 'attitude,' it's generally not referring to their positive life outlook.
- OrangeTide, on 07/22/2008, -2/+1why do attitudes have to be bad by default?
- xsecretfiles, on 07/22/2008, -0/+6I don't like your negative attitude towards Americans Buddy!
- nickbertovich, on 07/22/2008, -2/+2I'm not your buddy, guy!
- zer0nix, on 07/22/2008, -2/+2i'm not your guy, pal!
- Cowboy1015, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Don't give me that bad attitude!!!
hmmm... sorry not use to it. - OrangeTide, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5you forgot a comma. and "May be", seriously?
are you trying to be ironic or something?
- MattgUP, on 07/22/2008, -3/+13How is Americans killing English?
- chrispaul50, on 07/22/2008, -2/+10J.R. Smith = J.R Rider
- zenerdiode, on 07/22/2008, -1/+0It's Isiah "Don't call me J.R." Rider. Yeah, he was a douche too.
- Icetype, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1JD Byrider?
- canewediggit, on 07/22/2008, -0/+9I'll gladly tell you why Steph can't dominate; he's a crybaby loser. Name me one thing Steph has ever accomplished in all his time in the pros. This is a guy that DIDN'T want to play with KG. Steph got everything he wanted- huge contract, hometown team, and a coach that played the same position in a very similar manner and gave him the keys to the team , yet he still failed miserably. The Knicks are back in the lottery next year.
And the Blazers have a much better core of young cats than the Sonics/Thunder.- n1vek, on 07/22/2008, -1/+0Easy way? Right.
- falloutsyndrome, on 07/22/2008, -7/+4Sports players get payed too much anyway. They should play because they love the sport, not because it's an easy way to get rich.
- chipperrocks10, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Surgeons should perfom surgeries because they love surgery, too. Damn overpaid surgeons.
- nevaseez, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3since when is being a professional athlete an "easy way to get rich"? They have given an entire lifestyle / time dedicated beyond the average joe's abilities. They only get paid in accordance to what the fan is willing to pay them.
- burden555, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1I think he just wants a hug
- zenerdiode, on 07/22/2008, -5/+1Adam Morrison is a crying bitch.
http://www.losanjealous.com/2006/03/24/adam-morris ...
That's all.- bicyclethief, on 07/22/2008, -3/+6Why was it okay when MJ cried hugging the championship trophy he finally won and not for Adam Morrison losing a heartbreaker in his last college game?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX01GCgjR9I
(I'm neither a Gonzaga or a Adam Morrison fan, but ***** you and all other fake tough guys.)- zenerdiode, on 07/22/2008, -3/+0MJ is a bitch for drafting Morrison 3rd overall.
How many players lose heartbreakers in their last college game every year? How many cry. Not crying isn't being a tough guy. Crying when you're supposed to be a hardened leader is, well, bitchy.
- zenerdiode, on 07/22/2008, -3/+0MJ is a bitch for drafting Morrison 3rd overall.
- TomGfromCanada, on 07/22/2008, -2/+2No. he is a BITCH, and your a bitch for sticking up for a bitch.
- bicyclethief, on 07/22/2008, -3/+6Why was it okay when MJ cried hugging the championship trophy he finally won and not for Adam Morrison losing a heartbreaker in his last college game?
- AddiX, on 07/22/2008, -3/+0they wont get paid because they all suck.
- knoxchris, on 07/22/2008, -1/+3Sean Williams is a future stud who's inconsistent, he's easily a top 10 shot blocker this year maybe even top 5 imo. Youtube him...
Gerald Green got traded in the Garnett deal, anyone would take KG over Green if they could get the deal the Celtics got.
Charlie Villanueva sat for Yi all year, so he didnt get PT. When Yi was hurt, he was solid.
Tyrus Thomas is another young kid with tons of upside. Anyone who wouldnt trade him for Baron is an idiot by all standards, or in a keeper fantasy league.
The avg. age of the kids he's picking on is around 22.. hardly even started their careers. I agree with some of these names, but there are some stretches.- Odenized, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Great analysis, but Charlie V played *alongside* the young guy from China...tough to tell because of how transparent he is on the court.
- knoxchris, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Villanueva averaged 15 ppg and 8 reb post All-Star break. Did you even watch him play this year?
- Odenized, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Great analysis, but Charlie V played *alongside* the young guy from China...tough to tell because of how transparent he is on the court.
- ghuytro, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5Charlie V doesn't deserve to be on that list.
- jankind, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3Agree. I'd swap in Darius Miles in his place.
- Hetman, on 07/22/2008, -0/+4The NBA is a business like everything else in America. There is a finite amount of players that can actively play in the NBA. If you fear these players will not produce, why would you pay them. And if there skills are as good as they state, how come no other team wants to pick them up. These players are investments. Thats it. If you are not going to get a return on your investment do not invest.
- joclark, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3JR is a huge talent. As a Nuggets fan, it's frustrating to watch this guy. He's other-worldly on some days and total doghouse on others. I think as bad as the Nuggets were in the playoffs, the only glimmer was JR. He was getting to the rim and knocking down shots. I hope he comes into this season primed to play.
- ptsuk, on 07/22/2008, -3/+1The article says "they won't get big time contracts". I thought that the NBA WAS the "big time" so if they are already there they're getting "big time" contracts.
Now if you mean absurdly large contracts, they yah that might fit for the article.
Also last i checked (which technically i don't do with sports other than hockey that often, (which is the only true "american team sport" still in around) basketball was a team sport, oh wait, again this is the NBA.
yawn, buried as "lame"- MRintheKeys, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Right, like these guys are really going to suffer only making 4 million a year instead of 12 million.
- Cowboy1015, on 07/22/2008, -0/+4mmmm yeah!
Do you know how much a Bentley or an MTV Crib cost?
Do you know how much it cost to be a Baller?
- Cowboy1015, on 07/22/2008, -0/+4mmmm yeah!
- MRintheKeys, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Right, like these guys are really going to suffer only making 4 million a year instead of 12 million.
- NightOwl4, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1I think the author missed Mardy Collins on the Knicks when he was talking about the Knicks, Collins is a hell of a baller.
- harajukukei, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1is it just me? I like athletes that can dominate and make other players look foolish without even trying or caring. it makes it more insulting.
- Jynx97, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Don't forget Donte Green.
- Odenized, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Dude just started! He at least should wait a year.
- WhoDoneIt, on 07/22/2008, -2/+0Blame the media. Basketball, as well as many other sports, runs on advertising dollars and the high life attitude. Players aren't like they used to be 20-30 years ago and it's not entirely their fault. They get paid big bucks to act a certain way. It's not about the game anymore. It's about the "attitude", the show and the bling.
The more notorious they are, the more the cameras and public are attracted to them. Any press is good press.
It's time we, the fans, demand to take back the games as they once were. Not the media gong show they are now. - mlvassallo, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3Oklahoma City... that kinda makes me sad a little bit.
- jankind, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Say the full name now. Oklahoma City Thunder...
Now THAT is sad. Sounds like another Arena Football team.- mlvassallo, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Yeah. That is just awful.
- jankind, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Say the full name now. Oklahoma City Thunder...
- TomGfromCanada, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3I hope Bargnani will stay off that list.
- Odenized, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Bargs doesn't have the talent to make it...plus, I think his head's in the right spot.
- Futsuriai, on 07/22/2008, -4/+0Who? Basketwhat?
- jankind, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1I can't stand the grammar Nazis so it pains me to say this.
But am I the only one who goes nuts about reading the words "could care less" ?
"He’s a painfully inconsistent player who will never have a winning moxie. He acts like he could care less about the game, and it’s true."
COULDN'T care less...COULDN'T! - paulot, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Ironically enough, these bums aren't even overpaid. Check out the top MLB draft picks. There are kids just getting out of high school making MILLIONS who will never make it to the bigs!
- diggpp, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1Love that they included Morrison, as if there was any question there!
- wasmachien, on 07/22/2008, -1/+0Where's my man Larry Hughes?
- Odenized, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Dude already has hella dollars. These guys haven't gotten paid yet.
- bigt48, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1For the amount of shots that JR is willing to throw up, I would give him any amount of money he ask for. There are very few players in the league that are completely uninterested in shooting in the flow of the offense, playing team basketball, or playing any sort of defense. These players need to be commended. Commend JR by giving him boatloads of money.
