- ninerskeet, on 07/12/2009, -4/+11Alan Iverson? Who dat?
On an unrelated note... Allen Iverson should just go to a contender and offer to be a sixth man off the bench. No team can win having A.I. as a starting 2-guard, and lord knows he can't play the point. - Treason, on 07/12/2009, -2/+6Allen*
- 2h3px, on 07/12/2009, -0/+3That's just like corrective policing, no fascism there.
- prettyawesome, on 07/12/2009, -3/+6Hopefully the Heat will work well for A.I, and he will work well for them.
- ronaldinho, on 07/12/2009, -0/+2This deal can work really well, because the Heat desperately need someone aside from DWade who can score. I think this deal can work well even if he ends up starting. He has proven that he cannot be a point guard and that he's a score-first guy, so that ended up disastrous in Denver and Detroit because they are not playing to his tendencies.
I think going to Miami works because DWade is both a scorer and a setup guy (same as LeBron). You don't hear Cleveland ever needing a "pure" PG because LeBron IS the PG anyway. Same with DWade, and I think if AI's hot, DWade will be happy to set him up for the whole night. And if not, DWade is still too good not to take over a game.
I still prefer AI coming off the bench and cooking the opponent's reserve, but unlike other people I could see this deal working - ZonGuy, on 07/12/2009, -1/+3Let the Heat experiment with AI for a season, fail, and per that failure have Wade test free agency and sign with Chicago. A Chicago native back court of Rose + Wade = Badass.
- ronaldinho, on 07/12/2009, -0/+2Damn, DWade and DRose.....immediately becomes best backcourt in the NBA
- imkidred, on 07/13/2009, -0/+2This is like a week old and he's talked to other teams since then.
- inactive, on 07/12/2009, -0/+2I thought the title was Alien Invasion and expected the article to be SETI-related. I need to go to bed...
- inactive, on 07/12/2009, -1/+2good, I want wade on Chicago team.
- ronaldinho, on 07/12/2009, -0/+1He wasn't the player that the Nuggets need, unfortunately. Let's face it, AI is not a setup guy; that's why he failed while Chauncey Billups flourished. I'm sure Miami doesn't need AI to be a setup guy. They need a scorer, and I think DWade is more than happy to set up AI for parts of a game. If the Heat manages to secure him for cheap, this could be the bargain of the summer.

- skinny01, on 07/12/2009, -0/+1Right, that's the sub category of junior league spelling nazi.
- Nebarik, on 07/12/2009, -0/+0i also thought it said that.
'answering the call' didnt exactly help by reminding me of ET - inactive, on 07/12/2009, -2/+2he's a team killer. the heat won't even win 20 games if he's on it.
- reddfoxx1562, on 07/12/2009, -2/+1Allen Iverson should still be in jail for murdering an old woman with a chair. I know it's "only" been about twenty years, but, you know.... murder.
- NecroSexy, on 07/12/2009, -5/+4Why would the Heat want a washed-up player?
- velocity92c, on 07/12/2009, -5/+4Alan? Really? This really made the front page?
- mhidzvillalobos, on 07/12/2009, -2/+1I think "The Answer" has a better chance of winning in Miami, joining Dwayne Wade to get back to the Championship. Go A.I.!
- drifter, on 07/12/2009, -7/+6Alan Iverson really needs to just retire, he had an amazing team with the Nuggets and still couldn't pull it off. The heat have Wade and that's it, they won't go far.

The shadows are on the darker side
Behind those doors, it's a wilder ride
You can make a break, you can win or lose
That's a chance you take, when the heat's on you
When the heat is on
Oh-wo-ho, oh-wo-ho
Caught up in the action I've been looking out for you
Oh-wo-ho, oh-wo-ho
(Tell me can you feel it)
(Tell me can you feel it)

The heat is on, the heat is on, the heat is on - chinesedemocrac, on 07/12/2009, -7/+1Thanks for the article and btw its 'Allen'
