- thegamingguy, on 10/31/2008, -0/+15Smart move locking up the young guy and for a somewhat reasonable price.

- bullsfan03, on 10/31/2008, -0/+3its worth it, considering it is so hard to find a good center nowadays
- sp89, on 11/01/2008, -0/+3Lakers looked absolutely incredible the first two games. Can't wait for the rest of the season.
- theCreator79, on 11/01/2008, -0/+3This youtube clip of 17yr old Bynum VS Shaq will answer your question. Shaq gets embarrsed by a 17yr old! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd-FLEDTfao

- Lkr721993, on 10/31/2008, -0/+2Glad Mitch locked him up. He is finally making good decisions for our team!
- mugupo, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1Dumb move, how can salary pay more than gasol? what a joke.
- dookie1481, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1Um no. Not even close. Bynum IS really really good, though.
- corona10, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1This a great move on the Lakers front office's part. It effectively puts this contract distraction to bed before it can even get started. Andrew will be worth the money if he can stay healthy and anchor the defense in the middle. That is the role he is asked to play right now. He doenst have to put up the numbers he did last season to justify whether he's worth it. The fact that he can means that hes the future of the team if he stays healthy. LA is built for the playoffs right now. They have an even deeper bench than last year with LO coming off the pine. They've replaced Ronny Turiaf with an even better rebounder and defender in Josh Powell. The Lakers are a deep team 1-5 and if they continue to improve defensively could very well make it back to the finals.
- bloggerjul, on 11/07/2008, -0/+1In terms of being as dominant as Shaq, NO...
I can see Dwight Howard taking on the reigns as Shaq, but Bynum has only shown glimpses of Shaq
He still has great potential though, and I would love to be proved wrong by him in the future - ZeroOrDie, on 11/01/2008, -4/+4Kobe, tell me how my ass taste.
- matib05, on 11/04/2008, -0/+0each one has his own strengths and weaknesses.
- killerstache, on 10/31/2008, -4/+458 mil for one good month last year?
- friz, on 11/01/2008, -1/+1He didn't get embarrassed. Shaq actually dunked on him, Bynum went around. Both good movies. Then the kid of frisky and Shaq put him in his place. 'Nuff Said.
- dookie1481, on 11/01/2008, -0/+0Because the athleticism that Bynum has at his size is what most players could only dream of. Gasol is a fantastic offensive player but Bynum's skill set, at his age, could make him a perrenial All-Star.
- harrison5394, on 11/01/2008, -1/+1Dynasty.
- vignesh227, on 10/31/2008, -5/+158 mill$.. and i thought the economy was down...WTF... hes not worth it until he plays an entire season though...
- inactive, on 10/31/2008, -6/+0yo i would never join any team for lousy $58M
