- dirubio, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1that's a ridiculous statement the best clutch player in the league?? Kobe is definitely better than him, then you have Bron, keep in mind he is only 23 and every the cavs make the playoffs it is solely because of him. Remember the eastern conference finals against Detroit, game5, scored 48 points and 29 of the last 30 for his team against a squad that prides themselves on solid D. He was only 21 6'7 245 then and now at 23 he was scaled in opening night this season at 6'9 275 and he is fast as lightning Kobe's time is almost over and Bron Bron will be better. Finally even hedo turkalo hit more clutch game winning shots in his career than Paul pierce and last year alone. But in the end Kobe is the best at it all every coach in the league says that would give the ball to Kobe when the game is on the line and recently in an issue of sports illustrated that listed the 12 hardest tasks in today's world of sports...number 8 - shutting down Kobe.
- pyngthyngs, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1Paul Pierce may not be as smooth or quick as Kobe, but he's definitely the best clutch player in the game right now. He's been that way for a while, but just did not have the pieces around him to get him where he wanted to be.
I take that back. I'm not sure that he wanted to reach the Finals and take the championship away from someone else until last year. The team he was on with Antoine Walker, that reached the Eastern Conference finals, could have done it if he really had the drive then. Now he exudes the confidence on the floor that he has arrived and will not take a loss lightly.
