- inactive, on 08/24/2008, -2/+27A Cuban in Chicago would be awesome!
- inactive, on 08/24/2008, -1/+24It's not even a competition...Mark Cuban is by far and away the coolest GM to play for in all of sports...And he actually CARES about winning and will do anything to win (Note: I am not a Mavs fan, I'm actually a Raptors fan, but boy do I respect Cuban's competitive spirit...over $2 mil in fines to prove it!)
- BrandonJM, on 08/24/2008, -1/+19One can only hope Cuban would be approved. But this is Major League Baseball we're talking about, and sometimes making the right decision is rarely considered (see: Luxury tax.)
- MercyPolitics, on 08/24/2008, -1/+16That would be Mark Cuban.
- POTPOLITICS, on 08/24/2008, -0/+14You got my vote
- coyasun, on 08/24/2008, -1/+13Mark Cuban of course, http://www.cubanandthecubs.com!!
- BeShirtHappy, on 08/24/2008, -1/+11Without a doubt...Mark Cuban!
- AmyVernon, on 08/24/2008, -1/+11From everything I've read, it really seems as if Cuban and Chicago are really taken with each other. Sounds like a good match to me.
- BergyD, on 08/25/2008, -0/+8The State of Illinois is in enough debt already, owning the Cubs isn't an option.
- ichbeineinrcg, on 08/24/2008, -1/+7The trouble will be Selig and the other owners, who might prefer a putz they can push around as opposed to a dynamic, interesting guy with ideas.
That said, I sure do hope Cuban gets the team. - tjallen, on 08/25/2008, -2/+7My brother-in-law is one of Cuban's two attorneys. He told me he was trying to buy the Cubs, but I thought it was a pipe-dream. This is awesome! Way to pick a winner, big sis!
- Dylson, on 08/25/2008, -2/+6I dun care.
- cococrispies, on 08/25/2008, -0/+4He isn't a GM, but he is an owner
- inactive, on 08/25/2008, -4/+7Looks like my vote was cast for me. Good thing it was set for mark Cuban. (smile)
- DannyDriffs, on 08/25/2008, -1/+3When I was about 23, I was in Vegas playing blackjack for the first time. I was at the $5 table and asked the dealer if I should double down. He told me, ‘No balls, no babies.’ Sometimes you just have to go for it.” -- Mark Cuban
- inactive, on 08/25/2008, -0/+2True. My bad. Apologies to Donnie "Brian Cashman" Nelson :)

..to take over the world. - BadenBall, on 08/25/2008, -0/+0Does the Billy Goat get a vote?
- inactive, on 08/25/2008, -1/+1I voted for the tribune company both times. I thought the tribune company before sam zell bought it was the best owner, and the tribune company after sam zell bought it as the worst owner. As long as someone jewish winds up owning both the cubs and the tribune company, and especially the chicago tribune, I'll be happy. I know this because then the paper I read will tell me the knew owner is the best one no matter what.
- staz77, on 08/25/2008, -2/+1Richard Simmons has my vote.
- diggproof, on 08/25/2008, -2/+1GO RICKETTS

- fadetoone, on 08/25/2008, -5/+1He might even make baseball somewhat interesting. Maybe he can move the Cubs to Dallas and the metroplex can finally have a baseball team.
- BlatheringIdiot, on 08/25/2008, -6/+1Go White Sox !
