- inactive, on 06/01/2008, -1/+45Here's video of it, for those of you (like me) who don't want to read an article about a triple play.
http://www.redlasso.com/ClipPlayer.aspx?id=fc8878a ... - IphtashuFitz, on 06/01/2008, -0/+20SF turned THEIR first triple play since 1999
- Jeeum, on 06/01/2008, -12/+26"The San Francisco Giants Turn 1st Triple Play Since 1999"
"...the 2nd triple play in the MLB this year."
Something does not add up. - whiteyak41, on 06/01/2008, -2/+11Gotta love the Giants. Three steps forward - four steps back.
- kevinisms, on 06/01/2008, -1/+10A little video of Asdrubal's triple-play.

GO TRIBE! - SgtBlue, on 06/01/2008, -1/+9They still lost.
- FreeTalkLIve, on 06/01/2008, -1/+6Thanks, How the hell does an article about a triple play(with no video) get on the main page of Digg?
- ZiggyILM, on 06/01/2008, -1/+5I believe he means the Giants turned the first triple play in THEIR history since 1999.... which... isn't very interesting
- Malakii, on 06/01/2008, -0/+3always fun to see, but it still pales in comparison to the unassisted triple play Cabrera turned for the Indians a few weeks ago. I was at that game, was amazing to see in person. Now I just wish the Indians would stop sucking : /
- midejitsu, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2Upset? No, no. Not at all. Bewildered, maybe. Disenchanted, possibly. I just hope you’re not going to pretend that our submissions were the same. They were identical, because both feature the same AP text, but mine was atrophying while yours got enough attention to make the front page. I really didn’t mind that nobody cared about my submission. Triple plays are a bit esoteric, and not even that amazingly rare when they’re not unassisted. So you see I understood the lack of interest.
And then, all of a sudden, people care. Care enough to uncover the depth of Sports>>Baseball. Look for upcoming. Look in droves. And, once there, they look at all the possible stories about the triple play and choose yours. So, yes, I think gaming is precisely the right moniker, because I know that people didn’t find your submission on their own. You asked your friends to digg you. They did. That is fine, but don’t pretend otherwise.
I never thought about it until now, and I won’t from now on, but I can’t help feeling that this social news malarkey is hopelessly broken. And you’re to blame. - Enderplayer1, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2Sure triple plays don't happen very often but a couple happen every year. This title is misleading because it makes it sound like no other team has done it since 1999.
- pardonmedoug, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2because triple plays are awesome, and people press digg before RingTFA.
- Johnny, on 06/01/2008, -3/+5The headline is so misleading. Typical for digg unfortunately. I'm a little shocked it didn't suggest that Obama turned the throw at second.
- IphtashuFitz, on 06/01/2008, -1/+3The article also mentions an unassisted triple play made by Cleveland's Asdrubal Cabrera. For those of you are curious as to how an unassisted triple play can be made: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unassisted_triple_pla ...
- baldwin90, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2I never thought I'd see the Giants, (minus) Bonds, on Digg.
- vettemaniac, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2"...the 2nd triple play in the MLB this year."
In all of Major League Baseball for the year, not just the Giants!
Here is a link to the other triple play.
http://cleveland.indians.mlb.com/news/article.jsp? ... - a1cd, on 06/01/2008, -1/+2Personally, I can wait until Blurnsball comes into fashion
- worldchanger, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1thank you sir.
- jackalsclaw, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1his left foot was on the bag when he caught the ball then he step forward to help the trow.
- Jeeum, on 06/03/2008, -0/+1I confess; I was being deliberately obtuse.
- midejitsu, on 06/01/2008, -4/+4So this is how gaming digg works. I did submit the same story 12 hours before Mr Bukowsky, but I don’t have (or want) 422 “friends”.
- LG27, on 10/05/2008, -0/+0they suck. i don't know why anyone even talks about them. i am just glad that POS barry bonds is gone.
http://www.monexfraud.com - Surferess, on 06/01/2008, -1/+1And my Padres. One step forward - three steps back. Hard year for us.
- LG27, on 09/28/2008, -0/+0They suck thats why nobody cares.
http://www.bodytune.com - benthiczone, on 06/03/2008, -0/+0Back when bonds weighed a buck fifty, had maybe that many homeruns....but he was still an a hole way back then
- Zoshchenko, on 06/01/2008, -1/+1Unlike the earlier triple play this year in Cleveland, which was kind of a fluke...runners going on a line drive that resulted in an unassisted triple play - this kind is pure skill. Congrats to the Giants - regardless of who won.
- athinnes, on 10/01/2009, -2/+1This happens like 5 times a year. I saw one live in Cincinnati last year. No THAT big of a deal.
- Bukowsky, on 06/01/2008, -3/+2Oh yea... Gaming Digg by submitting Sports stories!
Your article was from Yahoo, mine was from ESPN... unfortunately, the Digg Duplication Filter isn't very good, because I never saw it.
With that said... you got a total of 2 diggs in the last 33 hours. So, why again are you upset? - Zimnick, on 06/01/2008, -2/+1Hellz yeah.
Back on topic, always cool to see a triple play. - harmonychurch, on 06/01/2008, -4/+3Durham missed second base.
But umpires always call a "vicinity" out. - theone3, on 06/01/2008, -5/+2I was looking for fiber news.. Dammit.
- Jrr6415sun, on 06/01/2008, -4/+1because it says san francisco
- Insolent, on 06/02/2008, -3/+0That was awesome how they threw that ball to each other three times before the peoples' feet made it to those white squares. God I love sports. Brb going to go buy some mcdonalds and trucknutz then beat my fat ugly wife.
- XtheXlanternX, on 06/01/2008, -7/+2Buried as inaccurate title because Cabrera from the Indians turned an unassisted double play a few weeks ago.
- withears, on 06/01/2008, -6/+1It's Barry Bonds' fault.
- DTJunkie07, on 06/01/2008, -11/+3Go Cardinals!
- frenchkick, on 06/01/2008, -19/+2No Comments!
It's quiet in here... can you hear the echo?
because nobody cares

What is Digg?
