    Brett Cecil had an era somewhere around 9.00, and when the Jays called him up he was lights out for every start except one.

    Throwing a perfect game in that league is quite an achievement.

    Guy looks to have a bright future, and the way the rockies are playing he couldn't be luckier to be affiliated with them.

  • brownsound00, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Did not know that. I was looking at the Vegas lineup and their ERA is BRUTAL! I didn't even know how they could call any of those guys up! I think it actually works out great for the Jays, if what you say is true. If they are still really challenged down there, they are good to go when they come up. Good news for our young guys coming up.

  • clickwir, on 07/03/2009, -4/+1I know I'm in the minority on this... but a "perfect" game (ie. with no hits) is one damn boring game.

    To me, a "perfect" game, 50-75% of everyone at bat, makes some kind of contact that's IN PLAY (ie. not foul).

    There's some excitement. Some action. Some randomness to an otherwise boring one sided fight.
