- JaggOff, on 07/24/2008, -7/+1It's a shame Robert Clemens is not on this list- understandably, but drugs or no drugs - the guy is amazing
- GravyTrain6, on 07/24/2008, -0/+4Robert? really?....
- philostrato, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1not sure about robert clemens, but roger clemens is a dick. screw the drugs. what about the fact he keeps throwing loved ones under the bus? the whole mitchell report stuff couldn't faded away, but like an idiot he kept insisting on bring it up...
- GravyTrain6, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1don't forget his alleged affair with a very underage mindy mcready.
- sgtbutterscotch, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1I wouldn't consider Clemens a shoe-in. Look at McGwire. And wtf are you smoking JaggOff?
- rockon4life45, on 07/24/2008, -1/+2dugg for david cone
- Doubledown, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1really... Mike Mussina... Every sports analyst has been asked about him and for the most part, everyone said no to him being a hall of famer. Will he get in, probably, but its not a one way ticket for him
- Linkin4, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2No Pitcher in the history of the MLB that has had 100 more wins than losses has ever been denied to the hall of fame. In a game where not a single rule has benefited the pitchers in 30+ years, and Mussina having a 263-150, with a few years left, and perhaps in the running for this years AL Cy young, he should be a hall of famer.
- gebsta, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Moose is a def shoe-in for the hall....
Career Wins: 260
Career ERA: 3.71
Career K’s: 2713
he's more of a sure shot than - Curt Schilling - Doubledown, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1I'm not saying I don't want him in the Hall of Fame.. I'm a Yankee fan myself... However, you listen to anyone who has a vote and about half of them will tell you that he is not HoF material. He's not had a 20 win season nor has he earned himself a world series ring. The Cy Young this year is a stretch... he's never been a dominating pitcher. He's a very good pitcher and can get the job done, but it will take him several years to get into the HoF
- Linkin4, on 07/24/2008, -1/+2Mariano Rivera?
- LordKaT, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2Starting pitchers, not closers.
Although, I feel sorry for anyone else trying to grab votes from Mo. - BaudiIROCZ, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3It was list of starting pitchers but obviously the best closer in the game will be in the HOF.
- Linkin4, on 07/24/2008, -1/+1I'm guilty of not reading the subtext, just the headline :|
- LordKaT, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2Starting pitchers, not closers.
- gebsta, on 07/24/2008, -3/+1Linkin4 is a dumb-a-s........ first sentence says, "Which starting pitchers, currently in the majors or recently retired, are shoe-ins for induction into the baseball Hall of Fame?"
woo hoo for David Cone!!! nicest guy in baseball.... - homah, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2schilling, pettitte, cone, hershiser
no, no, no, no
bert blyleven should get in way before all these guys.- gonegoogling, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1very well said, Blyleven has been getting ripped off by the writers for years
- suziejones, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Moooooooooose. H-all the way.
- C4Strife, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Good list but I still think if your not gonna vote for Bonds you can't vote for Clemens.
- CollegeCandy1, on 07/24/2008, -0/+0Any Tigers?
- thewhits, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Buried for showing a pic of Hershiser with the Giants. He will always be a lousy bum from LA.
- BW1021, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1At least 4 of these pitchers (including Clemens because of the steroid allegations) are anything but "shoe-ins" for the Hall. Another ***** list on digg!
