- StephenIscool, on 10/11/2008, -2/+8Yes! Yes! Yes! I've been a Philadelphia sports fan my whole life and trust me this city needs a championship! Go Phillies!
- richid, on 10/11/2008, -5/+11Diehard Phils fan here and I've been waiting my whole life for a parade down broad street.
The real test will come Sunday. Road victories will be huge. - kerosion, on 10/11/2008, -6/+11Go Dodgers! Even reaching the post-season seemed a pipe-dream at one point. Win or lose I'm a happy fan. =)
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -2/+7Wow, you are so cool and detached and above it all.
Although I notice you seem to have an awful lot of free time to post on social networking sites made by millionaires despite the economic crisis. - fish93, on 10/11/2008, -1/+5I'm from philly, I'm a huge Philly fan, and yet i believe there has to be a line drawn between believing we will win it all, and thinking we will win it all. I believe every major philly sports team can win it all. Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, Flyers. But sometimes it just seems that *thinking* we will win it all just makes it all the more disappointing when we don't. So I'm here, believing, but cautiously.
- JeddHampton, on 10/11/2008, -1/+5It gives people a break from worrying about how they are going to get by with the economy burning to the ground.
- Tegurit34, on 10/11/2008, -1/+4Go Jamie Moyer Game 3!!
- raydeen, on 10/11/2008, -1/+2We will not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory this time!!
- cadmiumpaint, on 10/11/2008, -1/+2by watching baseball on tv, you're helping the ratings, which helps get more advertising revenue which helps sell products which helps the economy.
what should we do...watch cspan all day? - kidathinnes, on 10/11/2008, -1/+1Heaven forbid people go home from there jobs where they deal with this ***** economy for 9 hours and turn on the TV and get all this ***** off their minds for 3 hours. People need to be miserable 24/7.
You suck. - btcs41, on 10/11/2008, -1/+1Why was Manny's homerun amazing? It barely cleared the fence.
- raydeen, on 10/11/2008, -1/+1Nah, we won't burn the city down. We'll just splatter the place with cheesestakes and soft pretzels.
- raydeen, on 10/11/2008, -2/+2I've been waiting since 1980 to see them win the World Series again. GO PHILLS!!
- tim507, on 10/11/2008, -2/+1Enjoy the partying while you can, the Sox will be by soon. ;)
- JeddHampton, on 10/11/2008, -2/+1Yeah for 70 mph fast balls!
- MrRobotoSki, on 10/11/2008, -2/+1I really like both the Dodgers and the Phillies. Since I have to choose one I'll say Phillies in 6 games. I know the Philadelphia fans have been waiting for a championship for a while. Being a White Sox fan I know what it's like to wait. The Dodgers are a totally different team with Furcal and Manny. If they can keep that core for another year they'll really do some damage next year in the N.L. West.
Oh and if the Phillies do win a World Series Title don't burn the city to the ground. During the first two Bulls championships they did that here in Chicago, it's such a waste. - pb125, on 10/11/2008, -1/+0It was amazing because he pointed his finger in the air and then went in to the dugout and talked ***** to the phils on the field. Maybe you can do that when you're home run actually MEANS something.
Real class act :-/ - ncaa76, on 10/11/2008, -2/+1Go Dodgers...they are undefeated against the Phillies at home! series will be tied 2-2 by Monday
- selfdisplaced, on 10/11/2008, -10/+7Beat L.A.
- p00pstar, on 10/11/2008, -4/+0The team to beat.
- uncertainty, on 10/11/2008, -10/+5***** the phillies
- dboy3587, on 10/11/2008, -8/+3go brewers
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -6/+1ugh, brewers could have done this too.
- sadsadrobot, on 10/11/2008, -11/+2Who cares? Our economy is crumbling and people still watch millionaires hit balls with sticks?
