- andywirtanen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+66The most amazing things to me: two grand slams (one by a rookie), only one error by Baltimore, and no triples
- D3koy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+53I didn't know the Orioles were a NFL tea----Oh, oh dear....
- chrisgeleven, on 10/10/2007, -0/+51That is crazy.
All the scoring came in 4 innings. - mediaspree, on 10/10/2007, -0/+48In little league they call the game..
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+39If only the team could like distribute these 30 runs out to other games they've played...
- airiox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+27The Rangers went on a 30-0 run, Baltimore was sitting pretty with a 3-0 lead through 3 innings and then the collapse... Burres pitched 2/3 inning and somehow managed to give up 8 runs before being pulled...
- Doorfingers, on 10/10/2007, -3/+29Wow, the Rangers had more runs than hits. That's something you don't see every day (besides 30 runs in a game).
- DonKarnage25, on 10/10/2007, -0/+25I don't know. I'd have to say the most amazing thing is that in a game where the winning team wins by 27, a pitcher actually picked up a Save.
- pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -2/+27damn, that sounds like the score of a football game.
- s0lace, on 10/10/2007, -5/+29pwnt.
- Brightside, on 10/10/2007, -2/+26Thank God we still have the Ravens.
- niko8778, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22When you get beat in baseball by an NFL Esq score, you know you suck, alot
- rmw132, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22Let's Go Orio---O ***** it.
- rm999, on 10/10/2007, -0/+21The funny thing is they point out the Ravens (who play next door) haven't given up 30 points in a game in 2 years.
- BRizzle83, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19And another crazy thing...it's only game 1 of a double header.
- aresef, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16I live in Baltimore. The O's have had me jaded for roughly the last nine years. I shouldn't be surprised. Yet here I am, looking at this score, and my jaw is dropped.
- Coven, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1510 Run Mercy ftw!
- macromorgan, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16Finally some good news after what has been a frustrating year for Ranger fans!
- Cink420, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13I would hate to live in Baltimore right now.

Look at some of the ridiculous days at the plate. - dfwcharlie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10new modern era record.
- robo2084, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9they produced more runs than outs.
- Joex410, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9If this isn't a reason for the Orioles to get a new owner I don't know what it is. Cal Ripken Jr. should buy this team.
- spurtle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Like how Littleton got the save.
- slkuhn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9the Os
- sgtbutterscotch, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7They had already set the record for most runs scored in a double-header before the second game even started.
- Wuss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Just another reason that makes me cry to be a Baltimorean. Baltimore has to be one of the greatest fan supported baseball cities in the world with a rich history with the Orioles. Year after pathetic year, fans pack Camden Yards and pour our money into a club that refuses to return the favor and field a team capable of making a run for the pennant. Thanks Peter Angelos for nuthin.
- forku, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I have a window that overlooks camden yards, I just looked over there to tell them "you suck!"
- macromorgan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6A save can occur when one of 3 conditions are met.
1. A pitcher pitches at least 1 complete inning with a lead of no more than 3 runs, and is the last pitcher and not the winning pitcher for the winning team.
2. A pitcher enters the game with the winning run either on base, on deck, or at bat, and is the last pitcher and not the winning pitcher for the winning team.
3. A relief pitcher pitches 3 innings, is the last pitcher and not the winning pitcher for the winning team.
Wes Littleton pitched the final 3 innings after Kason Gabbard (who got the win). Littleton was credited with the save. - brsox2445, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Yea it was funny how the O's went up 3-0 early.
- hassanchop13, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6ravens didnt give up 30 points in all of 2006, lol
- montiff, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6I gotta watch sports center tonight!
- hotsake, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6I had a soccer referee threaten to yellow card anyone on my team for "too much congratulating" in the midst of trouncing the other team 8-0. What are you supposed to say when you score a goal, "Aww, *****?"
- ipodman715, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5As a matter of fact I do. Can't wait to see the reaction tomorrow and the newspaper.
- oofgeg, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6I was checking my fantasy team and I saw the score for the game and I thought it was a mistake on their website. I turned the game on and proceeded to go find all my Orioles shirts and burn them.
- BadAshe86, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4How about that half-ass rule in high school football if a coach beats his opponent by more than 50 points, he gets fired? One coach was already on his 3rd string and still couldn't get the other team to score. In business, if you suck real bad you go bankrupt, in youth sports they cry "mercy."
- FrostySol, on 10/10/2007, -5/+9There are Rangers fans? Where!? All I ever hear about is the Cowboys.
- theohuxtable, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Ouch!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4godlike!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4thay ought to save some of those for another day
- AManOfLOP33, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4they still left 8 runners on base.....wow i got nothing seriously rofl
- grapfx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3and this happens to be the week that the Orioles' biggest fan of all time dies.
http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/baseball/bal-hagy0820,0,2034987.story - macromorgan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You seem to forget them winning the AL West Pennant in 1996, 1998, and 1999.
- PrettyBoyFloyd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Gotta love my Rangers. Once owned by George W. Bush, now they score a record 30 runs to "come from behind" to beat the Orioles. And they're STILL in Dead LAST PLACE in the standings!
- cosmicpoet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3you're missing the better stat. they had more runs than outs made. 30 to 27.
- sgtbutterscotch, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3how awesome is the manager for having him pitch the final three innings? it's like he knew what we all wanted. i bet no other manager in the majors would leave him in for that long
- jth10, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I also live in Baltimore. I always have hope on Opening Day, but it soon ends. The 30-3 score really doesn't surprise me, but it might have if it was another team. I still support them though, they're my hometown team. haha, it's on the news now
- Fhwqhgads, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3and thus the kids grow up to be sissies
- wattznext, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3actually, sgtbutterscotch meant more run than hits isn't uncommon. I know the digg comment system sucks, but this time it wasn't that hard to follow
- 5Twelve, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4There aren't many of us and to be honest there shouldn't be considering the way the front office handles the team.
