- NavyCS, on 12/07/2007, -0/+11Hall of Fame going to have a pharmacy wing added?
- SQLDigger, on 12/07/2007, -0/+6Wow, 15 whole days. If they're serious about stopping drug abuse, maybe they should consider the example set by professional cycling.
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?id=news/2007/d ... - Skitzzo, on 12/07/2007, -0/+5That would make sense if MLB was interested in actually getting to the bottom of the steroid issue. Obviously they're not.
- jimbocook, on 12/07/2007, -0/+4Skitzzo, it's not as if the fans are exactly staying away from the ballpark in protest. We have to take some of the responsibility as well.
- windyridge, on 12/07/2007, -0/+4These guys are heroes to lots of kids. Punishment should not only be swift, but it should be severe. If a career was over instead of a fine or a few weeks suspension, it would stop.
- jimbocook, on 12/07/2007, -1/+4@NavyCS, it's already in the planning stages: http://toonrefugee.com/toonblog/steroids-and-drugs ...
- harriman714, on 12/07/2007, -0/+3this is a joke because both players are being punished for using hgh before it was officially banned by mlb
- mkriss5681, on 12/07/2007, -0/+2It's been a rough few months as a fan of Baltimore sports...
- socomoddjob, on 12/07/2007, -0/+2Gibbons sucks, no wonder why hes on it......
- ChineseRoom, on 12/08/2007, -0/+2I'm SO glad the Royals not only signed, but overpaid for Guillen! /sarcasm
- Skitzzo, on 12/07/2007, -0/+2Yeah, MLB"s drug policy is a joke.
- mkriss5681, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Ravens been pretty good up until this year. The O's haven't had a winning season in 10 years :(
- ryan899, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1The problem is the MLBPA would never allow such a punishment or we'll have yet another strike.
- drgooch, on 01/25/2008, -1/+2Still pretty sure that's the Bush Administrations fault too....
- windyridge, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Exactly, it's token punishment, the bottom line is money
- ngmcs8203, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1HGH was banned in 2005
- bostonboy1128, on 12/09/2007, -0/+1HGH is not banned by the MLB. They were not suspended for HGH
- mlvassallo, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Man.. and Jose was on my good list after last season... he just moved to the naughty list... and right before Christmas too. Shame.
- Skitzzo, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1I 'm not 100% on the specifics of the drug policy but if that's the case I would think the players union's lawyers could get it overturned fairly easily.
- JohnFrum, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Yep. I was kind of sorry to see him leave Seattle. He was a lot of fun to watch.
- dienaked, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Fifteen whole games huh?
Get a confirmed positive in cycling and it's an instant 2-year ban. - LandoGonzo, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1HGH doesn't cause roid rage right? Because Guillen is a nut.
- SouthsideIrish, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1After they add a Dead Ball Era wing? Maybe they should just do it by year.
- mal1964, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Ok since you put that way
- pt4117, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Oh really, do you remember back when MLB didn't have much of a drug policy, and most of the White Sox refused to take a drug test hoping that it would push MLB to put some teeth in the policy?
- SouthsideIrish, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1One of those things is not like the nazi party. RP believes in opening the borders once the welfare system is dismantled.
- philr8, on 12/07/2007, -1/+1Months?
Try years. Hell, try DECADES. - 400zone, on 12/07/2007, -1/+1Actually as ngmcs is right, HGH was banned then and that is why they are getting a 15 game suspension, not a 50 game, because 15 days was the penalty at that time...
- flameboy, on 12/07/2007, -1/+1So what if not all players use them? Not all players eat the same foods, have the same genetic makeup, work out the same, or were raised the same.
- inactive, on 12/07/2007, -2/+2HGH is NOT steroids. Sorry folks.
- whatever01, on 12/07/2007, -0/+0They're just afraid of the results of looking too carefully. Go to randomized testing of all players, on and off season, mandatory testing of the winners at each game, add in multi-year suspensions and the problem will at least become visible.
- flameboy, on 12/07/2007, -1/+1I agree with you. HGH isnt even a steroid. Whats next? creatine?
Let them use whatever they want except the proven-harmful anabolic steroids. - whatever01, on 12/07/2007, -0/+0It's a legal drug, but it's use was not by prescription, hence it is ILLEGAL. What's the big deal? They were using illegal drugs. Why should they get a free pass? Should they be allowed to use cocaine and heroin too, if they want to? Just because they're playing a game for money doesn't mean they're above the law.
Just because some people break the rules doesn't mean you should abandon the law. People get murdered and raped, but I don't hear much clamor to legalize those. - mal1964, on 12/07/2007, -2/+2Its unfair to the players that don't use them. Not all players use them
- ngmcs8203, on 12/07/2007, -1/+1I've heard Eric Byrnes talk about players that don't use them. Only a handful really "care". With the new rules in baseball prohibiting contracts with incentive clauses, even less players will care. They are all getting paid to play baseball and all they want to do is win.
- buywowgoldz, on 07/14/2008, -0/+0legal. i mean you can find hgh that is all natural and can give you the

http://jatha.no/rit406/ - miamibest, on 10/08/2008, -0/+0come on guys is anyone really suprised with this stuff. its all old news. i even came across a site that seems like they are still doing hgh but also some type of herbal hgh, here at http://sleptfoolishfree.info. I mean everything is going to just evolve, just like steroids started and know hgh or some type of synthentic form is all evolving until one day we'll never know who is natural and who isn't. Personally, if i was a sport player, to compete, i'd be on hgh also ;)
- seoboy, on 04/17/2008, -0/+0all the players really need to started taking the supplements that are legal. i mean you can find hgh that is all natural and can give you the same benefits over a period of time. why not play it safe?

http://www.generics.ws - turkoftheplains, on 12/07/2007, -0/+0All of this is based on the idea that it's somehow a "level playing field" if we only discriminate based on genetics. I say let them use what they want to use, and accept the health consequences.
In any case, hGH is a ***** anabolic drug, ludicrously expensive, and not without its own risks. - Stephain, on 08/19/2008, -0/+0Read also more about HGH product Genf20 at http://www.genf20reviews.net/
- whatever01, on 12/07/2007, -1/+0Yup. And half the guys lose any given game. Your point? They're paid huge amounts of money to play a game. They should suck it up and take their lumps. BFD
- bwchambers, on 12/07/2007, -1/+0I'm pretty sure there is no child that considers Jose Guillen or Jay Gibbons to be their hero. And if so, that child is high on something much more powerful than HGH already. Both of these guys are fairly mediocre.
- lucidguru, on 12/07/2007, -7/+3Enough stupid rules and suspensions already. All baseball players are using performance enhancing substances in one form or another. Maybe it's vitamins, nicotine(it IS performance enhancing), creatine, caffeine, steroids, pain killers, hormones... you name it, it's probably used. It is wrong to punish players for using any particular substance. No matter how hard they try, the players will find a way to skirt around the rules... In the big leagues if you ain't cheating you ain't trying.
