But I had no idea they'd even make the playoffs. I thought if I put a hundred bucks on them I could come away with some cash at the end of the season, but I'm not much for gambling and just put it off until it was too late.

- jongurizzy, on 10/22/2008, -0/+0Anyone who thinks vegas favors tampa to win because they set the line this way does not understand sports betting. tampa had a 200-1 chance at the beginning of the season, that means that they probably had a lot of takers then, and now that the rays have a 50 percent shot to win, houses are probably in the hole for those huge odds. they make the phillies line more attractive, so they can balance their books. LET'S GO PHILS!
