- aalmeida259, on 11/21/2008, -0/+4Considering Hank is a big mouth idiot who doesn't know ***** about baseball, yeah I guess he is.
- scarwars, on 11/21/2008, -0/+4Does that mean George will get his job back?
- credential101, on 11/21/2008, -1/+5Dear Hal Steinbrenner,
Please get a pitcher, or two, or three. We really need them badly.
Sabathia, Peavy, Sheets, Garland...They're all out there....get them.
-A loyal Yankee fan - unradical, on 11/21/2008, -0/+3I only came here to see a Seinfeld joke. I left dissapointed.

- awesometastic1, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2I'm glad to hear someone who worked hard and really earned the job got picked for this. I mean, i'd hate to have someone who isn't qualified running a multi-billion dollar business. ;-)

- bushisadumbass, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2What's the point? The Yankees are not going to compete anyways.
Sabathia is going to cost AT LEAST $140 million for 7-8 years which is ridiculous to spend for a pitcher. Sheets is an injury risk. I would not pay him a nickel.
How about the yankees develop some of their own pitchers through the farm system? - bushisadumbass, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2It does not matter.
They are going to spend ridiculous money signing free agents and will continue to destroy their farm system by trading their prospects for old veterans. They have being doing this for a loooong time.
I bet you they will sign Sabathia to a 7 year / $160 million. That is way too much for any player, let alone a pitcher who is only going to play every other 5th day. And they will offer Teixeira over $120 million for sure.
That is what's wrong with the Yankees. They think that by spending millions on free agents they will be able to compete every year. Maybe they should take a look at the Tampa Rays and how they have developed their players through their farming system. - KingBroseph, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2It's like the yankees are a royal family passing the power down to their kin.
- vsujohn2, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2Jealous of a bunch of douchebags? Lol, right.....

- acrodev, on 11/21/2008, -3/+3Word to the wise Hal - don't overspend on washed-up injury-prone pitchers like Kevin Brown and Carl Pavano. Damn, too late.
