- ajUCI, on 12/27/2008, -0/+21Leave it to Brian Sabean to sign another great player.... 7 years ago.
Giants fans will know what I'm talking about. - inactive, on 12/27/2008, -0/+19http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhlxaqJf0Zw
- ajUCI, on 12/27/2008, -0/+143. Lincecum, Johnson, Zito
- Jerky1312, on 12/27/2008, -0/+9Going 11-10 in the majors isn't horrible. Getting 15 wins is considered pretty good and acceptable for most pitchers. He had more wins than...
Jake Peavy (10-11 in 27 starts)
John Maine (10-8 in 25 starts)
Jeff Suppan (10-10 in 31 starts)
Tim Wakefield (10-11 in 30 starts)
Barry Zito (10-17 in 32 starts)
Kevin Millwood (9-10 in 29 starts)
Kenny Rogers (9-13 in 30 starts)
Matt Cain (8-14 in 34 starts)
A couple big name pitchers only had 1 more victory than him...
Josh Beckett (12-10 in 27 starts)
Scott Kazmir (12-8 in 27 starts)
I know records can be misleading, but if you look around the league, most pitchers don't even come near to that many wins. He's also 45, so it just shows what kind of stuff this guy has. He's also a lefty, those guys are always coveted. - bixby1, on 12/27/2008, -5/+13I think he's still got it in him.
- foofightrs777, on 12/27/2008, -1/+6Lin Tincecum is pretty awesome. As for the other two.....
- SnapETom, on 12/27/2008, -0/+5What the hell? Isn't Johnson a little young for a Sabean signing?
- doublefelix, on 12/27/2008, -1/+5With the way the Big Unit pitches, you wouldn't expect him to have the same longevity as Jamie Moyer.
- ultraman54, on 12/27/2008, -0/+4Sabean sucks balls. In spite of the fact that SF's biggest weaknesses are its bullpen, batting, and age, he decides to use our remaining money from the ***** Zito deal to sign another aging, over-the-hill starting pitcher. Way to go Giants.
- AquaOSX, on 12/27/2008, -0/+4You can get wine, cocktails, and semi-pretentious ales at Oakland coliseum too. Although, it is Oakland, so you can also tailgate on pocket bikes with cans of Sparks.
- wdw25, on 12/27/2008, -0/+3I agree with your position but buried you twice because you were being a jerk, then you were whining about being buried.
- sup4141, on 12/27/2008, -2/+5Giant Johnson
- ultraman54, on 12/27/2008, -1/+4Zito doesn't count. He sucks now.
- goonbug, on 12/27/2008, -0/+3They have beer at the stadium too you dolt!
- still0lil0wagon, on 12/27/2008, -4/+7as a Giants fan I say BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
- AriaStar, on 12/27/2008, -1/+4I've liked Randy Johnson since I first saw him play. I'm a diehard A's fan, but don't pick my favorite players solely by team. Johnson's one of my current favorite players. This might be enough to get me to make the 20-minute trek to the Giants' over-fancy stadium (seriously, wine? why not beer?!) again.
- inactive, on 12/27/2008, -0/+2Actually he doesn't suck.
- Anubis2051, on 12/27/2008, -0/+2he didn't stink; he actual pitched decently, he just hated new york, so the yanks traded him back. too bad all the players we got in that trade are gone now...
- fletchsd, on 12/27/2008, -0/+2Jake Peavy got zero run support and this year if the Padres keep him he will get even less. Basically he is going to be pitching on an AAA caliber team this year. If that.
- d0ctaew, on 01/06/2009, -0/+2Johnson is bad freaking ass.
Here's the article on his PERFECT GAME in 2004 against the Braves May 18 2004.
No big deal or anything, right?

- inactive, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1I want to hate the guy since you know, he helped Arizona beat the Yankees back in 2001 but the guy is a damn good pitcher for his age (and was damn good in the past, period). It's like if I was from Boston and wanted to hate Clemens.
- inactive, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1Alright then, good luck to him.
- still0lil0wagon, on 12/27/2008, -6/+7can someone please post a face-palm for me?
- merdiesel, on 12/28/2008, -0/+1At the very least, he'll make a pretty damn good mentor for Lincecum.
- demoneye, on 12/27/2008, -0/+0Johnson, we dearly miss you in Seattle...
You got your 2000th strikeout as a Mariner! I was there! :( - inactive, on 12/27/2008, -0/+0He's pretty ugly dude.
- dannythepan, on 01/06/2009, -0/+0Johnson went to the Yankees a couple years ago. Most people who aren't from New York define going to the Yankees as "selling out" I don't know if going to the Giants is selling out// As someone who appreciated how well he pitched returning to Arizona in '08 after slumping in New York. And as an Arizona fan. I'm offended
- ienjoythebeach, on 12/27/2008, -4/+4As a giants fan i'm very excited to see where this goes...hopefully

Did they sign Rusty Kuntz too?

http://www.entertonement.com/clips/40567/That%27s- ... - olie_baba, on 12/27/2008, -2/+1I hate Sabean as much as the next guy (in which I mean I hope he gets mouth raped), but I think signing him for one year, albeit for too much money, was the right decision.
- inactive, on 12/27/2008, -3/+1 Didn't he stink on the Yankee's recently?
- HomeNucleonics, on 12/27/2008, -5/+1I thought it said Randy Jackson for a second there...
- drewfer, on 12/27/2008, -7/+2Two Cy Young winners on one team.
