- njunderground, on 07/29/2009, -2/+66awesome catch. this was probably the highpoint of Pittsburgh's season!
- sbcea, on 07/29/2009, -2/+52Ah, the old glove/shoe/hand combo.
- tj007s13, on 07/29/2009, -0/+38I'm sure glad the MLB was right there to take this off a youtube. I mean, what a terrible copyright violation. Showing 21 whole seconds of a play should definitely carry 15-20 years in prison.
Honestly...I am so tired of dumb ***** like this happening. A short clip is removed for copyright violations. I could understand if someone posted a whole game or whole movie and it's like a few hours long, but honestly removing 21 second clips is retarded.

- DC2600, on 07/29/2009, -1/+27From the MLB official Rule book
" A catch is legal if the ball is finally held by any fielder, even though
juggled, or held by another fielder before it touches the ground. " - walshgopher, on 07/29/2009, -1/+23If the harlem globe trotters played baseball....
- DirtPile, on 07/29/2009, -4/+23The greatest catch of the season, however, was Wise's to ensure Buerhle's perfect game.
- stubear, on 07/29/2009, -4/+21*****. Wrong calls are an aberration in spots and something that needs to be eradicated. There are other things that MLB could do to speed up the actual play and allow for instant replay to assist in making the right calls more often.
- BIGJOE1975, on 07/29/2009, -0/+17Dugg for title. Greatest Catch of the Season, not EVER. Thank you for your restraint.
- jordantneff, on 07/29/2009, -2/+18Holy *****, Pittsburgh has a baseball team?!
/s from a Pittsburgh resident - mac734, on 07/29/2009, -0/+12This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by MLB Advanced Media.
- Yazilliclick, on 07/29/2009, -1/+12It wouldn't however be clear in real time from where they were that the ball didn't touch the ground when he kicked it, could have easily appeared to be scooped up with his foot instead. Add in just how unlikely it seems then they'd probably rule on the side of their skepticism.
- ThraxyWaxy, on 07/29/2009, -1/+10Too bad they didn't rule it a catch, so is the life of a Pittsburgh Pirate.
- DimensionalPunk, on 07/29/2009, -1/+9Wow, I'm actually interested in watching some MLB today. *clicks the link*
Never mind. - hmm5053, on 07/29/2009, -1/+9ummmmm.....no
- Black6x, on 07/29/2009, -1/+8GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!
- phrakshun, on 07/29/2009, -9/+16If stuff like this happened more than once per season, I might actually watch baseball...
- fritts1227, on 07/30/2009, -0/+6MLB will most likely destroy all unauthorized posts of this... so here is an authorized one!
http://mlb.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=5781 ... - Interactive33, on 07/29/2009, -3/+9Sweet catch - very lucky - should have been a routine catch - fun to watch what things can happen - that is why I love this game
- jsnchmpn, on 07/29/2009, -1/+7Hacky-Baseball
- louie10, on 07/29/2009, -11/+17This was, unarguably, an amazing catch, but it was also on the front page yesterday.
http://digg.com/baseball/Best_Catch_Ever_Delwyn_Yo ... - Misinformant, on 07/29/2009, -3/+8I love baseball so that was like porn for me.
- jbarefoot, on 07/29/2009, -0/+4All of which is easy to see from slow motion instant replay...
- Twicec, on 07/30/2009, -0/+4Cant see the video....lame..
- KrazyMon2, on 07/29/2009, -0/+4Wow I can say I am impressed by a play from my hometown team. Now we just need to get above .500, but I am sure that will happen in the next 5 years or so. Probably closer to the so side :(.
- inactive, on 07/29/2009, -4/+8Some of us don't see everything on the internet like you do. Dugg!
- theonlybradever, on 07/29/2009, -2/+6only to determine if a potential home run is fair or foul.
- Cepster, on 07/29/2009, -0/+3Erroneous! Erroneous on both accounts!
- hokans777, on 07/29/2009, -0/+3It is considered a catch, the umpired just thought it bounced off the ground.
- Czechxican, on 07/29/2009, -0/+3I must have seen this 50 times the other day on sports center. Pretty amazing catch.
- inactive, on 07/29/2009, -0/+3baseball games are a plast to go to, to watch on TV thought, its like watching paint dry in a florida steamroom
- BxBoy, on 07/29/2009, -0/+3Duplications?
THIS IS DIGGGGG!! - emptyo, on 07/29/2009, -0/+3For once, that might have actually BEEN the craziest catch of the season. Shame they got it wrong on the field.
- NoRCoN, on 07/29/2009, -4/+7No instant replay necessary. It was just a terrible call. The umpire should use some logic. The ball "bounced" way higher than if it would have hit the grass. Also, it took a 90 degree turn from it's direction of travel. It is obvious that the player kicked it.
- papapushpush, on 07/29/2009, -1/+3Expect nothing less from the city of champions.
- stuffradio, on 07/29/2009, -1/+3ah, the old switcheroo.
- purusho, on 07/30/2009, -0/+2save me
- DevinOlsen, on 07/29/2009, -0/+2So.... Why exactly would this be considered not a catch?
- aphexcoil, on 07/29/2009, -10/+12The game is slow enough as it is. Part of baseball is the occasional wrong call -- it is a part of the sport.
- jbird123, on 07/29/2009, -0/+2Fow, fair do-s that was unexpected. Quite impressive :)
.. - Velena, on 07/30/2009, -0/+2In San Francisco, hackysacking it is a perfectly acceptable way of making an out.
- Fleagleman, on 08/06/2009, -0/+2Of course, Randy Winn then gets tagged out. This had to be against the Giants. I really need to pick another team to root for already. The Giants give me a massive migraine.
- NateTheGreat7, on 07/30/2009, -0/+2bad quality but here it is!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pl6rcJH20lE - hawksfan03, on 07/29/2009, -1/+2why the ***** are people digging you down?
- Celochki, on 07/29/2009, -0/+1good baseball
- chooochooo, on 07/29/2009, -2/+3BRILLIANT!
That was utter brilliance! Damn he was good! - brownsound00, on 07/29/2009, -0/+1hockey. jeez... it says it right in the title
- dandaman0345, on 07/30/2009, -1/+2Seriously, if anything this would make more people want to watch MLB
- mishabear, on 08/09/2009, -0/+1They did destroy them...thanks!
