- tomalakborg, on 11/06/2009, -2/+14I seriously wonder how much was cut from this movie, and what the 'uncut' version would be like. I feel like Cohen was forced to cut significant parts of the film to pass focus groups' results and the like.
The theatrical release was so-so; it lacked all of the social exploitation of Borat and relied instead on raw inappropriateness.
Borat saying "We support your war of terror!" and everyone cheering was great - he made being inappropriate acceptable and people went along with it, showing their true colors. It wasn't provocative that he was politically incorrect, it was the hordes around him going along for the ride.
Bruno had too much penis footage to be taken seriously. Cohen was wildly rude, and expected the resulting anger to stem from homophobia. Bruno's super-***** image definitely had a part in how angry people got, but I think most of it was the penis. It I was a hotel manager and a couple were locked in bondage, I'd be freaked out and pissed no matter what kind of couple it was. - Ferago, on 11/06/2009, -0/+6I agree. Bruno relied too much on site gags and things like that. The best parts of Borat were the 'normal' people making complete asses of themselves without him having to do much.

I wanted to use it for my background wallpaper, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere on the net... - jryaniv, on 11/06/2009, -1/+4I think the Rose bit was actually funnier/more awkward than the Abdul bit. My guess is they put her in the movie because she's more recognizable to more viewers.

I think "Bruno", Borat or any other of his Characters in some point creates so much BAD karma, i honestly hope with a very sincere heart that this man keeps living a nice life even if his money comes from so many "dirty laugh". We all have to pay back some day. Be gentle and kind.
