- GregFD3S, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5Digg is made up of a bunch of ***** baseball haters who have never played a game of baseball in their life.
- espritprv36, on 07/03/2008, -3/+8"You create a team using real major league players from 1907 or 2007"
"or"? ....what? - axis, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3While I find the game extremely boring, you have obviously never thrown a baseball or swung a bat. Outfielders are generally as athletic as any elite athlete. When was the last time you dove at full speed for anything, while tracking a flying object's trajectory? Middle infielders must move laterally on contact, which requires split second reactions, also diving, then throwing. Batting...you have less than a second to move your hands through a hitting zone, turning your hips, all while visually analyzing the pitch, this happens while in the swinging motion. It is the reason that if you get a hit 3 out of 10 times, you are deemed a pretty good player. Where else is less than 50% considered great?
You would have to define athleticism for me. I think being able to control your muscles to do extraordinary things like your mind visualizes is athleticism, maybe you have a different definition. - plainOldFool, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4Beer. Beer is a good baseball additive.
- chaaalieboy, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4I hope you're talking about the athletic requirements of baseball (or lack thereof) and not the team from Oakland.
- ghostrc, on 07/03/2008, -4/+7So this is just some sort of manager sim game. How will this make me like baseball if I didn't like it before.
- NeoCortex, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3And don't forget the fractured testicles.
- feliks2, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4Its a good anything additive, but it wont make baseball any more fun.
- mungk, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2Baseball players don't have the luxury off coming out and going back in. Once you're taken out of the game, you're done. Also, in hockey, when you're down a man, that means the other players are having more frequent/longer shifts on the ice to make up for the missing man. Baseball doesn't have that factor so there is less of a team need to have an injured player return to the game. It's just a very different style of game.
Finally, I'll finish by saying both hockey and baseball are awesome. I've played both. Hockey is harder. But baseball is my favorite sport. - grapfx, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2I am owner of the Smegmatown Arsestinkies, come get some! Dumbname I know! Dumbgame too, I am just bored at work for the next hour.
- BlockedUser, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2My bad.

Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at www.baseballboss.com Port 80 - nobleexperiment, on 07/03/2008, -6/+8um. no. Baseball's more exciting than American Football. I'd rather follow every pitch, hit, lineup strategy, steal, outfield actions and stats than a sport for the Brahs.
The reason football is decently good than Baseball is because The Oakland Raiders and All Hail RaiderNation makes American Football better than Figure Skating.
Nothing says *Digg me down* from a bunch of RaiderHaters, "Baseball Sucks" trollers and the inevitable "American Football" is really "Football" from the other NFL RaiderHaters who still think that word is rightfully justified against the world as "Soccer". - humbled, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1"Where else is less than 50% considered great?"
Holy crap. After all these years, you have finally crystallized in mind exactly why baseball has such an indelible link to American society and culture. - demesisx, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1Actually this is kind of like Fantasy baseball...only not as good because it doesn't happen in the present. I'd love to see someone create something that does something similar to fantasy baseball only rewards middle relievers for holds. My league doesn't want to add this rule.
- busterbros, on 07/03/2008, -1/+2I like this game, it's still in beta and needs some work, but I'll check back on it.
- Kvasaari, on 07/03/2008, -7/+8Looks like a boring game.
- nearlygod, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1Baseball Bosses has way too much eye candy. I'll still with Barnstorming too.
- erniecamacho, on 07/03/2008, -2/+3This looks a lot like Barnstorming - http://www.thetoolsofignorance.com/games/barnstorm ... , a game that I have been playing for over a year now. Barnstorm may not look as nice (no flash) but if you are a stat geek you will probably like it more than this.
- Vikaas, on 07/03/2008, -12/+13I'll be excited if someone can make me respect the 'athletics' of baseball.
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -4/+5Baseball? Wake me up when it's over.
- tekhna, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1Same. I now apparently have an 0-5 record after my challenge doing that.
Off to a great start. - Seth024, on 07/03/2008, -1/+2Warning (2): Invalid argument supplied for foreach() [APP/controllers/challenges_controller.php, line 953]

Just tried to play my first challenge. - Rocketbird, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1What are you babbling about?
- Rocketbird, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1Haha, in his article he brags about beating the 2007 White Sox, but in the screenshot it showed him only having played the 1907 White Sox
- krustie, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1There are tons of online football management games. Obviously you don't know how to search google.
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1You fail at English.
- UK4Life58, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_(soccer)
- and303, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1How'd I miss that.
Thanks! - drunkirish, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1Yeah, because football players are never overweight.
http://www.guzer.com/pictures/fat_fb_player.jpg - sherbertbones, on 07/03/2008, -1/+1HAHAHA, stupidest thing I have ever heard.
- huaone, on 07/03/2008, -0/+0football manager, championship manager, soccermanager.com, even EA has a soccer manager game.
there are plenty of them out there... - inactive, on 07/03/2008, -3/+3Baseball is a great way to go out with your buddies, tie one on, and have a good time. It's fun to go to the game, and that's about it.
Baseball players are talented, but they are not the best athletes out there. Also, most of them are pussies about injuries. Compare that to hockey players, who get a broken nose from getting hit in the face with the puck, and they are back on the ice within 10 minutes.
Baseball is fun, but I don't consider it worthy of all the attention it gets. - and303, on 07/03/2008, -4/+4I love how football (soccer) is the world's largest sport, yet out of the pile of sites and games like this, I have yet to find a soccer one!
- axis, on 07/03/2008, -1/+1Anyone can have 10% body fat if they work hard enough. Very few people can hit a 100mph fast ball. I would bet under 1% of your qualifications for "athletic" can do that. Tony Gwynn, you are such a looser...
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -1/+1How often do you see a baseball player with an injury like that come back in the same game? Most are out for weeks.
- ahoy, on 07/03/2008, -3/+3that's only funny because I'm laughing at you... and no i didn't register.
- IllBeBack, on 07/03/2008, -12/+12I don't think anything can make me like baseball. *****, it's more boring than golf.
- feliks2, on 07/03/2008, -1/+1Only if its to baseball, the rest of them range from more-or-less-okay to excellent.
- SittinSidewayz, on 07/03/2008, -5/+5Ever played?
- chaaalieboy, on 07/03/2008, -2/+1Athleticism, for me, is when no one on your team can have a spare tire, and still be called an athlete.
Or when your entire team has a BMI of under 10%.
Or when your ENTIRE TEAM can run a mile in under 7 minutes, at the very least.
Athleticism implies a certain level of physical fitness, something baseball players aren't exactly renowned for. - Vikaas, on 07/03/2008, -3/+1Whichever gets me dugg.. haha, no, the athletic non-requirements of it.
- franklymister, on 07/03/2008, -14/+12You can make the best web site in the world about it, baseball is still a bunch of tobacco-spitting jocks with mustaches and mullets slapping each other's asses.
Still not interested. - BlockedUser, on 07/03/2008, -4/+1Im supposed to learn to like baseball with this marketing scheme?? Here's a better way to learn about sports, players, stats, etc., as opposed to just watching Sports Center. It worked for me with hockey.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2255/2090498320_f35 ... - OregonUte, on 07/03/2008, -5/+2This isn't anything new:
http://www.whatifsports.com - WilliamDecker, on 07/03/2008, -11/+8Nope! Still hate baseball!
- jellydoughnut21, on 07/03/2008, -4/+1so pretty much its just like fantasy baseball....except without any tie to the actual games. I hate baseball, any sport where a 300 pound fat ass can walk up to a plate and hit a home run and be a hero is not a sport in my book.
- edwartica, on 07/03/2008, -8/+4I got bored reading the first sentence. In other words, I still don't love Baseball.
