- catchbigd22, on 07/18/2009, -0/+13All four major sport commissioners are atrocious. The only thing Bettman can be credited for is the Winter Classic. I don't even remember who the current NBA commissioner is. Is it still David Stern? Meh.
- rockon4life45, on 07/18/2009, -1/+13Both Goodell and Selig suck. They are both doing a disservice to their respective sports.
- Takfam, on 07/17/2009, -7/+15In before the Tim Wakefield whiners.
- badqat, on 07/17/2009, -2/+6I'd say in history...but without a doubt, the worst in my lifetime.
- Spire3660, on 07/18/2009, -0/+3ITs not unique to American sport, Max Mosley of Formula 1 is doing a fantastic job of running F1 into the ground, at least in its current incarnation.
- deejqu1k, on 07/18/2009, -0/+3Bud Seling has made baseball into a money machine often at the expense of its ever dwindling lower income fan base. It does kind of boggle the mind that commisioners can have a direct affect on the field in a game that decides home field advantage for the world series. In conclusion in pictures and videos it seems Bud Seligs skin is melting off his face.
- drworthless, on 07/18/2009, -0/+3I doubt Boston wanted him to pitch. Getting the invite was enough.
- S7aind, on 07/18/2009, -1/+4Yes
- badqat, on 07/18/2009, -0/+3The tie game rendered it to nothing more than a dog and pony show - not real competition.
- Thebruce88, on 07/18/2009, -2/+5The issue isn't whether or not he got to play, it's that he was told that he would play, then the commissioner decided how the game would be run, instead of the manager.
- Hexogen, on 07/18/2009, -0/+2Wait, you didn't like the tie game?
- Rethcir, on 07/20/2009, -0/+2Brian Who?
- zioxide, on 07/18/2009, -0/+2Might as well throw Bettman and Stern in there too.
- thetruthis, on 07/22/2009, -0/+2With home field advantage on the line for the World Series, Brian Fuentes SHOULD NOT be pitching in place of Joe Nathan, Papelbon, or Rivera. There was just no place to put him. As for Wakefield, dude is out with an injured back, and he's like 50. Nuff said. Oh yeah, ***** you too.
- NeoCortex, on 07/18/2009, -0/+1The Dark Side of the Force has that effect on people.
- HisHighness, on 07/18/2009, -0/+1Yeah, I can't speak for all of history not being a baseball scholar. I'd love to know what Keith Olbermann thinks though, he's a baseball nut.
- NeoCortex, on 07/18/2009, -0/+1Anyone who really likes Wakefield understands that even he's not upset about not pitching. He's the ultimate utility pitcher. He understood going into the game that his role was for long relief in extra innings so there wasn't an embarrassment of lack of pitchers, just in case.
- deejqu1k, on 07/18/2009, -2/+2Yea he should try to lead the league in saves next year at all star break. O wait! Digg Troll
- Reddog_x2000, on 07/18/2009, -1/+1***** you spammer.
- optigrab, on 07/18/2009, -6/+2buried for brian fuentes.
- RiotHeart, on 07/18/2009, -7/+2He should be happy he was even there.
- Super6, on 07/18/2009, -8/+2People still watch baseball?
- thetruthis, on 07/18/2009, -12/+5***** happens. Stop being a pussy about it. Play better and get there next year. Angels and their fans are always whining... Oh yeah and Wakefield sucks too.
- RyeBrye, on 07/18/2009, -11/+4BFD. Not all pitchers pitch. Last year, didn't Poo hole not even play?
