- Arth718, on 04/25/2008, -1/+0Phil Niekro looked like he was in his 60's, but damn he was old at 48 too.
- mal1964, on 04/25/2008, -1/+1His brother Joe dated a friend of mine years ago. She got me a signed emery board that i begged her for.
- Joest23, on 04/25/2008, -3/+3Roger Clemens was on steroids for the last few years. Even though it wasn't for his whole career, he doesn't deserve such an honor.
- feshmania, on 04/25/2008, -1/+1Clemens, regardless of the last few years, is one of the premier athletes to every play professional sports, it's an honor he earned, not that was given to him.
- bubba9999, on 04/25/2008, -2/+11I thought the title had something to do with my dating history.
- FlipSpiceland, on 04/25/2008, -2/+1zing!
- joshhan, on 04/25/2008, -2/+1Good one. I also thought Ryan Howard will soon join that list. As the one striking out!

- Flushnasty, on 04/25/2008, -2/+1Damn shame to see cheaters with so many real legends. MLB fukd up so bad :(
- TokenWhiteGuy, on 04/25/2008, -2/+1Yep, John Smoltz just got in the 3,000 club.
- green94, on 04/25/2008, -1/+1Thumbs up to Smoltzy.... class act.
- evilninjax, on 04/25/2008, -1/+03000ks : impressive. 4000 ks freaking crazy. 5000 ks totally mental. And 5700+? Gheeez Nolan. You know i think he could've possibly played another 5 yrs as a pretty dominant closer. He could've had 6000 ks. I wonder if anyone will get close? Kerry Wood might if he played for a team that didn't mind exploding his arm....
- dustout, on 04/25/2008, -3/+2i'm a member of the 3,000 Strikeout club...just not the baseball one
- apalys, on 04/25/2008, -2/+1Here's the ad-free, easier to read version. ;)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3000_strikeout_club - mattieohya, on 04/25/2008, -1/+0Only reason that Bert isn't in the hall of fame is because he played for terrible teams his whole career and so didn't get to 300 wins. I mean the Twins Angles and Pirates all bad bad teams. He should be in more than almost anyone else.
- edwartica, on 04/25/2008, -5/+1Why does digg have a sports section? Seriously! Do diggers really care about sports that much?
- Ricochet1269, on 04/25/2008, -0/+1I thought it was to commemorate Richie Sexson striking out 3,000 times...
/MarinersRant - woundedlegs, on 04/26/2008, -1/+0Yawn.
- Iztikeit, on 04/29/2008, -0/+0No active player is going to touch Nolan. So, we've got at least another 25 years until someone else can potentially beat it.
