    For those that don't know, the rules for LeMons means the car must cost less than $500, excluding safety equipment. Granted, if you buy a $2000 car and sell $1500 of parts out of it, it counts. But if you need to fix things... well, that counts against your total too. And it's all supposed to be documented, or the judges may vote for it to be bashed up by a front end loader (though if it survives that, you can continue to race it).

    The white 944 pictured was totaled from a rear collision bought for super cheap. They cleaned it up and hid a lot of the damage, except that you can still see the busted out rear window.

Not like a little smoke from the engine compartment; we're talking a massive fireball inside of the cabin. Luckily the driver was OK.
