- bixby1, on 07/23/2008, -5/+177Nobody can wreck 'em like Top Gear. Still, nothing beats Hammond's jet crash. Epic.
- Obsession88, on 07/23/2008, -5/+154Top Gear, best thing on tv!!
- Falldog, on 07/23/2008, -0/+93"Description: UPDATE: The GTR was being reversed by a senor member of Top Gear magazine and the driver reversed at pace into an Audi R8 also being used on the test. This is the GTR that Top Gear used for the Stig power lap, as its the only official Nissan UK imported car. We've being doing some tapping up of contacts and found out that the bump happened in a car park in the Isle of Man just after a photo shoot for the magazine had taken place - ironically just after the journalists were warned to take it easy. The car was hastily repaired and I bet no-one except those in the know noticed that the same car went up the hill at Goodwood just a few days later. "
From the source website. - Falldog, on 07/23/2008, -1/+65The epic part of the crash was his recovery. Long live the Hamster!
- pinkpackrat, on 07/22/2008, -3/+49oops:-)
- mrMunchies, on 07/23/2008, -6/+48That's why Top Gear's the best. They REALLY test the cars
- santaliqueur, on 07/23/2008, -8/+50***** that, George Bush was driving. Dick Cheney was in the R8, with Karl Rove in the passenger seat. Fuel provided by Halliburton.
- amilo000, on 07/23/2008, -1/+29Stig, James May, Richard Hammond and Jermemy Clarkson = Legends
Sorry for going a bit off subject. - timdastis, on 07/23/2008, -2/+30That car is just sexy...
- ghuytro, on 07/23/2008, -2/+28when you party naked
- icexe, on 07/23/2008, -3/+27"It seems that the GT-R wasn't damaged too badly..."
That pretty much makes this an irrelevant story. - Niz1, on 07/23/2008, -0/+21Story does not deliver on title expectations! I was expecting a right off with a trashed car in parts.
"It seems that the GT-R wasn't damaged too badly" - bistor, on 07/23/2008, -0/+20you mean bittorent!!
- cricketsymphony, on 07/23/2008, -1/+19by accidentally backing them into other cars?
- ElectroStep, on 07/23/2008, -1/+17I want that car
- ieatpizza, on 07/23/2008, -2/+18I'd still hit it.
- scabbers, on 07/23/2008, -7/+21Fancy cars should come with a warning: the car behind you probably hasn't got such good brakes.
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 07/23/2008, -2/+16stk: ENGLISH *****, DO YOU SPEAK IT?
- andibarnes, on 07/23/2008, -1/+15So you're saying they managed to crash one supercar into another? Whoops!
- olddirtycr, on 07/23/2008, -1/+15Because reversing a car into another car is pushing it to the limit, right?
Top Gear is awesome but please, read the articles - sockpuppets, on 07/23/2008, -0/+13That'll buff right out.
- jamie191817, on 07/23/2008, -0/+13Some say, he can reverse a GT-R without crashing into a R8, and that he even had a one-night stand with Amy from the dashboard computer....
All i know is, he's called THE STIG. - wigginz, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12What's the VIN? I imagine it's going to end up for sale in Florida with a "clean" title pretty soon.
- HouseofEl, on 07/23/2008, -0/+11The headline makes it sound like it was crashed by one of the hosts or the Stig. It was crashed after a photo shoot. I was hoping for something a little more exciting.
- d1a1s1, on 07/23/2008, -0/+11Yeah because there's so much technology under the rear bumper?
- inactive, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10Which is exactly why its the most popular show in the world. The "car audience" is a very small audience. Anyways, they can go watch fifth gear or some such.
If you had your way, you'd deprive the world of it's favorite television show. - cricketsymphony, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10an inaccurate digg title. imagine that.
- Impeller, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10The performance of the GT-R is staggering. Same time as the 430 ScuderÃa round Top Gear's test track. I hate when RH calls it "just a Datsun" it's an amazing car and this is just the beginning, we're still waiting for the Spec-V.
- nevetssav, on 07/23/2008, -1/+11"It was a funny angle!"
-Snatch = win. - cricketsymphony, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9reading the source article or next comment would quench your curiosity
- EllimistX, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9With an Audi R8?
- djfreex, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9After watching the episode on GTR, I know that I will change lanes and let it pass by. Once it hits US, it will be in the hands of rich kids under 21 years old. I bet most people will crash their just trying to make better G scores on the screen while driving. This car has the most developed dash I have ever seen. Everything aside, it is the deal of the century for gear heads. Once the craze is over, getting Ferrari performance at $70K is just great. This is the next NSX.
- aolshove, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9'Tis but a flesh wound!
- tippmann1, on 07/24/2008, -0/+9Suprise!! buttsecks
- Icetype, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9That'll buff right out.
- inactive, on 07/23/2008, -0/+8They have such awesome jobs.
- admdrew, on 07/23/2008, -0/+8That's where the magic happens.
- admdrew, on 07/23/2008, -0/+8...only from behind.
- hiro, on 07/23/2008, -4/+11PAYCHEQUE even! We speak English over here, none of your funny colonial lingo
- 1892, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7it's a datsun!
- smacksaw, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7Well, it's a Nissan, not a Lada.
- cricketsymphony, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6apparently you hit the comment button my mistake. the digg button is a feature which allows you to digg a story without announcing it to everyone who doesn't care.
- darkNiGHTS, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6LEGO
- gurellia53, on 07/24/2008, -1/+7Shift Happens
- scabbers, on 07/23/2008, -1/+7You can keep it as reward for your apostrophe abuse. I didn't see where it said the thing went backwards.
- kansai22, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5Right after they did the amazing review with it achieving the fastest lap time for a non modified production vehicle, tied with the F430 ScuderÃa.
- Junkey, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5I bet he said "How hard could it be" right before.
