- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -7/+19I'm so rich I fly an F22. Too many idiots in the streets lately so thats why I switched. Besides, all the exclusive places I go have a helipad so it's not like I need parking space ya know. Whenever I want to kill my current wife I accidentally eject her seat and she goes flying without a parachute, that's before I proactively suggest she ups her insurance policy to OVER NINE THOOOUSSAAAAAAAAAAAND million...
- kiwininja, on 07/08/2008, -0/+11Does the Enzo even qualify as a production car? There was only 400 of them made and it's not like you could just walk into a Ferrari dealer and buy one. They decided if you could have the "privlage" of buying one.
- howdareyou, on 07/08/2008, -0/+10Great cars, horrible slides. They seem to be in order of price until you reach slide 7, and most of the descriptions are repeated twice.
- DeFex, on 07/08/2008, -0/+108 cars on 16 pages.
- smacksaw, on 07/08/2008, -0/+8I see that Forbes.com has changed it's name to confuse Diggers.
Slideshow? You'd better believe that's a bury. - Zaggynl, on 07/08/2008, -0/+7Slideshow, buried.
- AndySomnifac, on 07/08/2008, -0/+7Quoting one of the descriptions:
"The SSC Aero is an American-built mid-engine sports car built by Shelby Super Cars." - StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -0/+7What counts as a production car? No Lamborghini Reventon (20 made), no Ascari A10 ($700000), no Maserati MC12, no Bristol Fighter.
Looks like an article with mimimal research. - inactive, on 07/08/2008, -3/+9Ya know the F22 can land vertically. So it's pretty easy for a playa like me to land it on the helipad. (BTW I technically didn't reply to your comment as you can see, because my Elite status restrains me from replying to a peasant thus that's the reason why I purposely replied to my own comment.)
- antonio97b, on 07/08/2008, -2/+8Well if you're just going by speed alone then get the Aero TT. It's faster.
Stupid move though to choose a car by its top speed. It's not like you would use it ever. - awuwish, on 07/08/2008, -0/+5They need to check their articles before putting them out. They say at the beginning that the Veyron is the fastest production car in the world, then they say that the SSC Aero is the fastest production car in the world.
- terajoule, on 07/08/2008, -1/+6Awesome. Cars I'll never be able to drive!
- cdigioia, on 07/08/2008, -2/+6You can land an F22 on a helipad? Man, you deserve all your money!
- Rikushix, on 07/08/2008, -0/+3As much as I hate slideshows, I LOVE the Koenigsegg CCX. So many people out there nowadays that try to sound like car enthusiasts when they say that they want a Veyron, just because it's the most expensive car in the world.
The CCX is where it's at. 1/3 of the price, almost as fast, and in my opinion, it looks cooler too. - DeFex, on 07/08/2008, -1/+3that cheap thing? doesnt make the list.
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -2/+4you have to hit the next button dude...
- pbarbosa, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2The Veyron is actually the bargain of the century! It costs VW £5m to make each one and they sell them for £850k. I just wish I could afford one...
- ElTomacco, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2The Vanquish is on there at a mere $255K.
- inigomntoya, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2It looks like the Veyron accelerates faster - they should have been more specific.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fastest_production_ca ... - rockrapdude, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2The Koenigsegg seems to be the most eco of them: 900 hp from biofuel, 850 from 96 octane and 800 from 91 octane.
- wrockwood, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1ha! they added it since they originally posted the article! revisionist history! :p
- wrockwood, on 07/08/2008, -1/+2they forgot to mention Spyker. http://www.spykercars.nl/?pag=8
how can they forget Spyker?? - elpohl, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1***** Forbes slideshows SUCK!!!
- slvrbullet87, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1my car goes 154 mph and i use every every one of them
- joeydoo, on 07/08/2008, -1/+2Yes.. it's just manspam
- ElDiablo6870, on 07/08/2008, -1/+2And, it is the fastest of the bunch and made in America. :)
- dajuggernaut, on 07/08/2008, -2/+3Buried for thinking that the F22 can take of or land vertically... surely you must be thinking about the F35B that comes in a VTOL configuration
- feliks2, on 07/08/2008, -4/+5Hardly the best car there. The Enzo, Murcielago, CCX, and Zonda are all better.
- shuskins, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1i digg you. exact price quote in pounds based off of jeremy clarkson on top gear.... nice!
- ChrisshEnzo, on 07/11/2008, -0/+1Still the SSC Aero is the fastest car on the road currently
- ferrariboy430, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1They used two different lamborghinis. the first one was a Lamborghini Murcielago and the second one was a Lamborghini Murcielago lp640.
- OfficialJoe, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1My brother in law's nickname is Spyker. It means "nail" in Afrikaans or Dutch (as in the long thing you punch into wood). Also "nail" as in that thing you do with that thing you have to females, good sized fruits or plushy furniture.
I can never forget. - jebus123, on 07/08/2008, -1/+2They make even less Paganis, Bugattis, etc... The Enzo was indeed a production car, but it never sold new for $1M. Also, there is no such thing as a Bugatti dealer. Are those disqualified too?
- lisawylde, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1These cars are utterly ridiculous. This SLR reviewer gets it right when he says that you can buy a Jaguar and a house for what they're selling that thing for: http://www.buyingadvice.com/mercedes-benz-slr-2008 ...
And I have Forbes stupid slideshows. Could they be any more arrogant? - ChrisshEnzo, on 07/11/2008, -0/+1no no no, don't be so critical Miss USA has said the problem with comments like this is simply that there aren't enough maps to educated citizens
- hwy9nightkid, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1its on the list, hit next
- cdigioia, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Actually the F22 can't land vertically...
- Stiggy, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1add to that the fact that @ the 2008 Geneva Auto Show Koenigsegg showed off the CCXR which costs 2.2 million US each and produces 1018 on bio fuel. These lists are always epic fail of not properly checking all cars that are being made by small manufactures, where are the Zonda's, watch one episode of top gear and you could put together a better list.
- benzzene, on 07/08/2008, -1/+2I'm really proud that all those cars are from the Northern Hemisphere.
I'm really proud that all those cars are from Earth.
I'm really proud that all those cars were designed by humans.
Do you see what a stupid comment that was yet? - wrestlingnrj, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1They Veyron isn't the fastest production car ever made. It's world record was broken fairly recently by the SSC Ultimate Aero, a car using only half the cylinders and half the turbos. How's that for American Engineering?
Where's the Saleen S7? That car is pretty damn expensive. - somedirtbag, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1Um... they stopped production on the Carrera GT last year.
- tyboulder, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1I think they got the price of the Bugatti and the Enzo switched. Article does suck ass. 612 Scaglietti? Arnage?
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -1/+1I am in Hong kong for my vacation and fortunately the place i am staying in filled with freaking seriously hot cars. Ended up chatting to Dude who owns a McLaren and a great Admirer of Top Gear. Ended up doing 150 on the Hong Kong Airport Highway. The Sound of the Mclaren in an Underground tunnel is almost Hypnotic.
- Kvasaari, on 07/08/2008, -1/+1How many American or Japanese car do you see in that list?
- star7, on 07/08/2008, -0/+0How can they forget Spyker?
http://www.autonovosti.com.ua - Euph0rik, on 07/08/2008, -0/+0Why isn't there ever a "World's Fastest and Most Affordable Cars (under $40K)" - for the average, over-worked, underpaid, adrenaline junkies of the world?
1. STi
2. R32
3. Mini Cooper S
?? - RealmDown, on 07/08/2008, -1/+1Seriously, you are becoming offensive with your spamming in multiple threads.
