- WordsnCollision, on 01/20/2009, -0/+12Actually i was expecting the Obama-mobile to be a Lincoln...
- ajamer, on 01/21/2009, -0/+12Should have chosen the new Batmobile
- oboshoe, on 01/21/2009, -0/+9It gets really cool when it hits 88 MPH. But thats all we can say. The rest is classified.
- arkaycee, on 01/21/2009, -0/+9Obama in 2000!
- absolutelytrue, on 05/26/2009, -0/+7There have certainly been some sweet rides. My favorite is the "Sunshine Special" though. Imagine Obama rolling up in that!
- Kerrigore, on 01/21/2009, -0/+7Show me the solar or wind powered engine that's powerful enough to move that thing the same way the current diesel engine does, and I'll admit you have a point.
- aircool, on 01/20/2009, -0/+7Nice diesel engine there, could be better though :P
- arkaycee, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4The bulletproof glass gives everything seen through it a green tinge; that was noticeable in today's parade.
- griffeycom, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4Spinners too
- AndrewLeon, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3I think Obama needs something along the lines of the Pope-mobile...
- souldawg, on 01/20/2009, -0/+2I almost expect it to have movable plating, transformers style to cover every inch of it. Given the weight of it though how mobile could it be, especially for tight maneuvers?
- slvrbullet87, on 01/20/2009, -0/+2"Besides five-inch thick armored doors and bulletproof glass so thick it blocks out parts of the light spectrum"
That is awsome - aufte, on 01/21/2009, -1/+3It's OK though... because it's Obama.
- Armor1901, on 01/21/2009, -0/+2The Popemobile has met its match.
- Ramble, on 01/21/2009, -0/+2How?
- Kerrigore, on 01/21/2009, -0/+2Yeah, because Obama really needs to give the wingnuts another reason to call him Un-American/Anti-American.
- Ryan_KW, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1By not being a Duramax.
- inactive, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1The presidential limo's number one priority is keeping the president safe and secure. You're an idiot if you think that includes making it solar powered or wind powered. And how the ***** would they do that anyway? Put windmills on the roof? Jesus Christ you're stupid.
And it's one person's car. It doesn't matter if the damn thing runs on love, it single-handedly doesn't make any detectable impact on the environment. - Kerrigore, on 01/21/2009, -0/+1Whatever you do, don't touch the red button!
- thomascj, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1dude... at least it's diesel... isn't it something like 20% better in terms of emissions than standard gasoline?
- marinius, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1if i were president, i'd prefer a tank.... or a warthog
- inactive, on 01/21/2009, -0/+1say knock knock
- inactive, on 01/22/2009, -0/+1The president's vehicle does not need to be environmentally friendly. It just needs to be safe and secure.
- inactive, on 01/21/2009, -0/+1Oh that's so awesome, thanks for sharing with us.
- inactive, on 01/21/2009, -1/+2Regardless of politics, the president's ride should be top notch.
Not some ricer.
***** the polar bears anyway, they create methane. - cjlov, on 01/21/2009, -0/+1I remember when the 2001 version debuted with Bush's first inauguration and just thinking it looked like evil on wheels. I think that had more to do with its passengers though.
I do like how on the last two though they've integrated some low profile emergency lighting on the front. Not that they really need them but adds to the whole immediacy of the look. - BossKey, on 01/21/2009, -2/+2Most normal window glass has a green tinge already, which you can observe if you look through a stack of window glass. The only reason we notice it more in the limo is because it's so much thicker than a normal window.
- iamvahe, on 01/21/2009, -1/+1Awesome cars in terms of protection. Otherwise, the new ones all look hideous. I know its not very American but it would've been great to have them based on some non-American luxury styling (S-Class, 7-Series, Lexus LS, etc...)
- nextEinstein, on 01/22/2009, -0/+0I think I need one of those
- weister42, on 01/21/2009, -0/+0I bet it has some sort of turbo button to make it go really fast.
- Bburkert517, on 01/21/2009, -0/+0That thing makes a panzer look like a bitch
- Aooogah, on 01/21/2009, -1/+1Bio-diesel engine run from the White House's used cooking oil?
- Branchex, on 01/21/2009, -2/+1How do you know it doesn't run on biodiesel?
- HopeForTomorrow, on 01/21/2009, -2/+0Anyone else getting tired of "Presidential This or that"?
I mean, I understand it fits the occasion, but I miss my random and funny stuff. - fireball9199, on 01/21/2009, -3/+1the cool thing about these cars is that i can gosee them at the henry ford museum like any time i want
- iloveobama, on 01/21/2009, -7/+4Since Obama said that we need to drastically change our lifestyle to end global warming, I would think he would do the same. I was hoping he would be riding in a solar-powered/wind-powered limo. Instead the new limo releases lots of CO2 and kills polar bears.
