These aren't the cars of someone who is aiming for frugal. - mikesbaker, on 06/20/2008, -1/+3Audi TT 3.2 quattro - $45,620
Mazda MX-5 - $27,000
Pontiac Solstice GXP - $30,299
Nissan Nismo 350Z - $38,070
BMW 135i - $43,670
Mini Cooper S - $28,850
Chevrolet Corvette Z51 - $56,185
Lotus Elise SC - $54,000
Honda S2000CR - $37,000

IMHO the only one close to fast and frugal is the Cobalt SS

- etherreal, on 06/20/2008, -0/+11996 Honda Civic DX hatch. CAI, new muffler (not a fart can). 45MPG. Cost me $8,000 in 1998. Best investment I ever made. 45MPG, and enough "sporty" to be fun. Best of all, its been paid off for 8 years and still drives like new.
- z3021017, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1Err take any of these cars to the track where you are really pushing performance and they will still drink like crazy.
- Jabrams2, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1I'm pretty sure that by frugal it means frugal on the gas guzzling side, not price
- holyskeleton, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1I like my celica. 22 mpg city.
- Joshuarr, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1No offense dude, but I think that car is almost as ugly as the pt cruisers.
- carguy25, on 06/19/2008, -0/+1Good choice on the TT.
- dannytehmanny, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1not only is it ugly it sucks worst car to drive ever
- Jabrams2, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1I'm confused, where did this article go? I don't see it in the upcoming section and I definitely didn't see it in the popular section. Did it get buried completely or something?
and if so how is it still getting Diggs. This site still manages to confuse me every now and then - Serge157, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1My Civic 30 mile perr gallon city.
