- inactive, on 07/19/2008, -1/+18more electric cars have to introduced as quickly as possible
- inactive, on 07/19/2008, -1/+15Sure is better than an electric chair!
- louiebaur, on 07/19/2008, -1/+15Good the sooner the better!
- mareacaspica, on 07/19/2008, -0/+13if I had a driver license, I'd sure get into some research
- feureau, on 07/19/2008, -1/+13It's a ZOMBIE!!!! Car of the Undead!!!
*BRRRrrrrmmmm…* - sLydE, on 07/19/2008, -1/+13As long as a renewable energy source is used to produce the electricity to power these cars, than this is a great idea.
- khalidhajsaleh, on 07/19/2008, -0/+9looks very promising
- ritubpant, on 07/19/2008, -0/+9I like it...do I want it....depends how much the gas prices go up and how much electricity prices go down
- dandwreviews, on 07/19/2008, -0/+8Thats what I will drive in the future!
- Sanduu, on 07/19/2008, -0/+8Well, good luck !
- muzjik, on 07/19/2008, -0/+8"80 to 150 miles per charge" that seems pretty good, but the 25 mph max?? hmmm...
It'd be really nice just for cruising around town though i must admit! - ipek, on 07/20/2008, -0/+7Electric cars will be succesfull when they'll start looking like real cars, not like some third world cab. Take the Tesla Roadster, for example, which is a great car, but kind of expensive.
- JustGrant, on 07/20/2008, -0/+7Flintstone cars are the future !
- DermDoc, on 07/20/2008, -0/+7Great concept, but 25 mph max makes it a bit more like a golf cart than a car for now.
- inactive, on 07/20/2008, -0/+7Great idea. I hope it does see the day light.
- inactive, on 07/20/2008, -0/+6Electricity is supposed to jump 35% in the next year. Also my work doesn't offer me an "Electricity" Card.
- gavinhudson, on 07/19/2008, -0/+5Yeah, can't argue with that.
- grumpyrain, on 07/20/2008, -0/+3True, but the 25mph maximum speed thing does dampen the mood a little.
- muzjik, on 07/19/2008, -0/+3What people don't realize is that electricity for the environment, is worse then gas, because not only do you have to create it ( with coals ect ) then it goes through lots of losses through resistive wires which suffers heat loss.
- jaybol, on 07/20/2008, -0/+3hopefully getting gouged at the gas pumps helps speed up innovation and production of these vehicles and other solutions.
- sega01, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2I agree, I would usually rather walk or ride a bike since it is only capable of that speed.
- AmyVernon, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2braiinnnnsssss
- sLydE, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2Which is why I said "renewable energy". It's very important to realise that coal burning for electricity is worse than gas burning for fuel. If you power your car by a wind/solar plant, then you are making a better impact than if you are powering it off of coal-based electricity.
- LauraBlu, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2Check out a company called Tesla ... owned by the co-founder of PayPal
- Dailydose4me, on 07/20/2008, -0/+1I think the future is big for electric cars, with the oil crisis, why not everyone buy one?
- Ricochetbiscuit, on 07/20/2008, -0/+1I'd take 25MPH with no gas consumption, for around town stuff, any day.
- dannyrogers, on 07/20/2008, -0/+1great article
- YouGotDugg, on 07/20/2008, -0/+1They better step up their production of 4000 cars If they are only charging 16K.
- teamrock3t, on 07/20/2008, -0/+0hm could've sworn tesla was going to resurrect the electric car...
- Xazos, on 07/20/2008, -1/+0The earth needs electric cars. Anyone see the digg lately about the fastest electric car? The design was A-W-E-S-O-M-E.
