- AmyVernon, on 12/21/2008, -0/+23It looks really nerdy, but I like it for some reason.
- badqat, on 12/21/2008, -1/+24Wish they would have given stats like 0-60 and 1/4 mile times as well as top speed.
- inactive, on 12/21/2008, -0/+16Affordable and gets up to 83 mpg but kids in my neighborhood would throw stuff at this car when it drove by.
- msaleem, on 12/21/2008, -0/+15Self-respect not included in sticker price. /jk
- BillyB, on 12/21/2008, -0/+13how fast does it go?
- BeShirtHappy, on 12/21/2008, -0/+7The speedometer in the photo goes to 140 mph, but on Auto Moto's site it states 60 mph.
- BeShirtHappy, on 12/21/2008, -0/+6Amy, I'm not sure what I think about it. It is cheaper than a motorcycle... and would be easier (for me) to handle than a motorcycle; I just don't see me riding one though.
- Harboggles, on 12/22/2008, -1/+6And this ladies and gentlemen, is why the auto industry failed. Because they didn't make things like this, but the rest of the world did.
- inactive, on 12/21/2008, -0/+5Maybe you like it because your really nerdy?
- spokenkaraoke, on 12/22/2008, -0/+4way to scoot it to the man!
- vikingboy, on 12/22/2008, -0/+3One word...
Winter - Wildthing, on 12/22/2008, -0/+3I know you were joking, but a lot of people who see that will really have that attitude. I call it the "inferiority I need an Escalade, Hummer, Expedition to feel good about myself" complex. That is why we are stuck in 13 mpg hell.
- cyrusuncc, on 12/22/2008, -0/+2Digital Clock is STANDARD! Woot!
- loganava, on 12/22/2008, -0/+2This is an amazing deal.
- cyrusuncc, on 12/22/2008, -0/+1Two words...
Woman Repellent - BeShirtHappy, on 12/22/2008, -0/+1I wouldn't drive it in the winter or inclement weather... but it would save you gas money, wear and tear, etc. on your primary vehicle throughout the rest of the year. Especially good for your local driving around...
- jgregc, on 12/22/2008, -0/+1Nowadays you probably have to pay more for the big analog clock.
- philliesphan026, on 12/22/2008, -0/+1You're*
/nerdy - spaceman84, on 12/22/2008, -0/+1The top speed is only 60 MPH, so I imagine the 0-60 time is fairly slow.
- cyrusuncc, on 12/22/2008, -0/+1The speedometer is in km/h which is ~87 mph.
- jgregc, on 12/22/2008, -0/+1<sarcasm>
Yeah, you definitely want to be with the kind of woman who would be repelled by the fact you were not driving a Ferrari...
</sarcasm> - ar230, on 12/23/2008, -0/+0I dont think they are in the same catagory! if you would rather spend 45k then 3-4k then more power to ya. thats why those t-rexes are nowhere to be seen i think the last one i saw was like 3 years ago and im in los angeles.
- ar230, on 12/22/2008, -0/+0I Just spoke with them very cool people i might get one just to get around town heck 83mpg i can fill it up once for $3 and go for a month. very cool i wish they came out with something this like this along time ago. BTW: they are coming out with side curtains that button on the sides so that you can be more enclosed from the rain. winter question solved!!! Looks like a lot of fun also.
- MisterMills, on 12/22/2008, -0/+0I'll concede it may have a place in an urban setting and could be useful for short commutes. It would save on gas but not sure on the wear and tear (no data). I would much rather ride something like this though http://images.businessweek.com/ss/06/01/3_wheel_ca ...
- MisterMills, on 12/22/2008, -0/+0Not going to be particularly useful in cold climates or places that get snow. No way would I get caught riding one of these things in -20°C weather in a snow storm. Heck, once the temperature gets below about 15°C things start to get a bit chilly when you are at highway speeds. Cargo capacity is also important to a lot of people and that would also be very low on a vehicle such as this. This is why concepts like these fail (lack of over-all practicality) and cars will still be the vehicle of choice.
