- TheHeat, on 06/20/2008, -2/+11Camera to prevent me from being hit? I park fine. Parking tracker? My memory isn't that bad.
I want a car that's going to suck my dick. That's an improvement in auto interior. - G4LAXY, on 06/20/2008, -1/+8As surprising as it may be some people spend 10x more time in their car then they do in their house so why can't they let themselves drive in what THEY like?
- G4LAXY, on 06/20/2008, -2/+8no... when choosing YOUR car, what YOU want should be the #1 consideration.
I mean yes, if I'm buying a car, yes I'd love something that gets 60mpg; but I don't want it to look like a shoebox w/ an interior that looks like something drawn by a 10 year old...
I'm all for environmentally-friendly cars but please stop trying to shove econo-boxes down everyone's throat... - webkami, on 06/20/2008, -1/+7These submissions should have WARNING FORBES: in title.
Although I am very careful but sometimes I am tricked into their horrible layouts/slideshows. - CrushThemTorg, on 06/20/2008, -1/+7Forbes' web site is just awful. I don't want to get anywhere near another one of their galleries.
- sterntastic223, on 06/19/2008, -3/+9As long as it doesn't have pleather, I'm fine.
- smacksaw, on 06/20/2008, -2/+6NONONONONONO
Stop with Forbes. - macneib, on 06/20/2008, -0/+4How about one big improvement in the engine compartment?
- inactive, on 06/20/2008, -0/+3I could care less about power seats and butt-warmers. All I need from a car is for it to be nimble and have a responsive engine. Stupid creature comforts add like 1000 lbs and screw up the driving experience plus they distract drivers when they should be focused on driving instead. Stop playing with your ipod while you're driving sir/ma'am!
- orangetiki, on 06/20/2008, -0/+3Who the **** puts a photo viewer in a car?
- sladek, on 06/20/2008, -0/+3...because economy is at the bottom if you're American
- secrity, on 06/20/2008, -1/+4Buried Forbes slideshow
- silveravnt, on 06/20/2008, -0/+3I think you will have to look after market for that accessory but it can be had.
- silveravnt, on 06/20/2008, -0/+3Some companies pleathers are very nice. Check out Audi's "leatherette". It feels great and wears better than leather. That said I would rather have the real thing.
- cdigioia, on 06/20/2008, -0/+3That...is....the smartest thing I've ever heard.
- yardie, on 06/20/2008, -1/+3This is the other reason Prius have a huge backorder. Besides being stealthly quiet they have friggin huge interior space. Nobody buys this bus for it's good lucks that's for sure.
- G4LAXY, on 06/20/2008, -1/+3Is that even legal? :p
- Enlefo, on 06/20/2008, -0/+2Gadgets are cool, but new cars are soooo heavy. Which sux for performance and mileage.
- saikyan, on 06/20/2008, -0/+2This is more advertisement than editorial. They choose a host of recently redesigned cars and figured out a way to give props to each one, even the ones that don't deserve it (Hyundai Sonata, Dodge Journey, Scion xD, looking at you.)
Inclusions of the EX35 and C30 reveal the advertising at work, because those cars have identical interiors to their older, and suspiciously unmentioned, siblings (G35 and S40). - greatgatsbyII, on 06/20/2008, -0/+2It changes before you're finished reading and looking at the picture. I hate it!
- inactive, on 06/20/2008, -1/+3Some people have enough money to drive nice cars.
- inactive, on 06/20/2008, -4/+6Cars aren't supposed to be a second house in these times of high gas prices and potential global warming anyway, are they?
- wrestlingnrj, on 06/20/2008, -1/+3I guess I was wrong when performance, looks and comfort were the top three choices when I bought my new car back in January.
- cdigioia, on 06/20/2008, -0/+2By getting the website to the front page of Digg.
Unfortunately, strong servers Fortune.com has. - pinje, on 06/20/2008, -1/+3Why do I keep clicking links before checking if its a Forbes article or not. Although I was quite surprised not to see the usual 10 picture slide show which will automatically go through them all. But the layout is still shocking with everything crammed over to the left... Forbes links need to be banned on digg
- inactive, on 06/20/2008, -0/+2America's solution to the gas crisis: Hybrid Chevy Tahoe (AKA Hybrid Giant SUV)
http://www.chevrolet.com/tahoe/index.jsp?evar10=HY ... - obrysii, on 06/20/2008, -2/+4Frankly, all new cars are less user-friendly and less drivable than an older car.
This was proven when I went to a VW dealership with my friend in his '84 Rabbit, and while looking at the new "rabbits" ... I made a comment on how tiny the actual window / viewing space is, that I felt blind sitting in it. The dealer heard me and we talked for a bit, before having him go outside and sit in the '84. He remarked that the visibility was SIGNIFICANTLY better in the '84, and that he was rather impressed by the car. - Virgule, on 06/20/2008, -0/+2Send your comments to the Forbes Magazine editors.

readers@forbes.com - effoffpunk, on 06/20/2008, -3/+4I just want to drive a car while laying on a pile of beautiful naked women, is that so much to ask auto industry?
- EmperorAwesome, on 06/20/2008, -2/+3It may take some traveling, but WHOIS that ***** and track down the owner.
- inactive, on 06/20/2008, -2/+3Wrong hippie, ***** off.
- MrSmith34, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1I don't know why, but the title led me to think this was about 10 technology improvements in the car...like:
1) GPS & Sat Nav
2) fuel economy gage
3) TPMS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire_pressure_monitor ...
4) Blue-Tooth hands free
5) side and rear cameras
6) nightvision: http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/multimedi ...
7) radar assisted cruise-control http://capellossi.blogspot.com/2008/01/nissans-rad ...
8) satellite radio & digital radio
9) automatic crash response
10) onstar
(in no particular order)
other gadgets and doohickeys I like:
1) lojack
2) rear view mirrors that tilt automatically when backing up
3) tiptronic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiptronic
....etc... - silveravnt, on 06/20/2008, -1/+1So why not have the right car built? I would think it should be shaped like a van, to accommodate the pile. It would be cool if it was driven using a joystick, so one hand would be free to do whatever and your feet could be in any position. Be sure to make provisions, time and the right contracts, for the women to bathe and get replaced every 5 years or so. Thats just routine maintenance.
- silveravnt, on 06/20/2008, -1/+1Hamsters?
- bort27, on 06/20/2008, -1/+0If it's "just behind reliability and durability", wouldn't that make it the _third_ most important factor in choosing a vehicle?
- erbalot, on 06/20/2008, -2/+1And yet we still don't have aerating ac...
- silveravnt, on 06/20/2008, -2/+1I enjoy my butt warmers and all the other bs that makes my car weigh 4000 lb. (literally). At the same time, my dream car is either an Elise or Super Seven, very bare bones and light. That will have to wait until I can either afford a 3rd car or my kids are driving themselves.
- inactive, on 06/20/2008, -5/+3Yeah, like 0.000001% of the people. That's a great point you're making indeed.
- manzplan, on 06/19/2008, -8/+6Milage should be # 1 consideration
