- TeeBaagz, on 02/09/2009, -1/+13Porsche opened their own pandora's box when they made the Cayman. Its mid-engine layout makes it a better balanced car. The only thing stopping it from overtaking the iconic Carrera are Porsche's engineers.
- GlueSniffer, on 02/09/2009, -0/+10Some say he never blinks, and that he urinates 98 RON petrol.
- rizzo2008, on 02/09/2009, -0/+9they are very good and engineering masterpieces but they still lack the entertainment and simplicity of rowing your own manual gearbox.
- rizzo2008, on 02/09/2009, -1/+8They can never stop making it better somehow. Fantastic car contrary to Jeremy Clarkson's beliefs.
- Robjayne, on 02/08/2009, -2/+9Valentines day is just around the corner! You wanna be my valentine this would seal the deal.
- rizzo2008, on 02/09/2009, -1/+6no this is a chick car

Or I'm not getting something - lawlerskate, on 02/09/2009, -1/+6Except for the fact that they intentionally castrate the boxster/cayman to make the 911 appear better. But the rear engine rear drive platform is inherently flawed. Sat in one going 10/10ths at the track and that thing was a bit scary. the nose was pointed in a crazy angle and yet it was still going moderately straight.
The cayman is like the neglected middle sibling. cayman GT2? yes plz. - S2000, on 02/09/2009, -1/+5Great car, but I think the even bigger news is the newer Caymans. Cayman S + limited slip diff + PDK transmission = perfect track whore.
- warEagllzz, on 02/09/2009, -0/+4Yes the mid-engine platform is perfectly balanced -- the Cayman S is incredibly smooth going around corners -- but some people want the extra excitement from having to work to maintain high speeds and fast laps. Same reason some track junkies will always want a standard manual.
- MattStenning, on 02/09/2009, -1/+5my dream car right there
- shard013, on 02/09/2009, -0/+3Hard? Yes.
Metal? No.
Interesting read though. - Sammyshoe, on 02/09/2009, -0/+3makes sense

Still my favorite. - rizzo2008, on 02/09/2009, -0/+3Some say he has an acute fear of ducks

All we know he's called the stig!! - NWVG, on 02/09/2009, -2/+4I know the 911 is supposed to be the top of the line Porsche and the one that everyone dreams of owning, but after driving the Porsche Cayman S and Porsche Boxster S the mid-engine design makes the handling so much better than the rear engine 911. Anyone else have this opinion or am I the only one who would pick the Boxster/Cayman S over the 911?
- brandanasan, on 02/09/2009, -1/+3an improvement upon its predecessors? rare for some auto-makers, but not porsche. move along.
- inactive, on 02/09/2009, -1/+3Nice car but where's the 2010?
- feliks2, on 02/09/2009, -1/+3I'd take funnest. Manual any day of the week. Or year.
- tgc1, on 02/09/2009, -0/+2I like Porsche. But what i'm getting tired of, is the same itterations year after year of the 911 platform. They all look the same. The last time I LOVED a Porsche it was the 993. After that it just didn't seem special anymore. Too heavy, too bloated with technology. Maybe it's just me.
- allocate, on 02/08/2009, -0/+2I'm wondering whether seal the deal means a different thing for me. Please advise.
- feliks2, on 02/09/2009, -1/+3lol?
Skyline is a marvelous car (although the current one doesn't even have "Skyline" in the name), but better than a 911? Definitely not. - ARTLUKM, on 02/09/2009, -1/+2The addition of the PDK transmission is probably one of the most important things Porsche has done in a long time. Dual-clutch gearboxes are simply the best transmissions I've ever had the pleasure of operating.
- suprememilo, on 02/09/2009, -1/+2damn I thought I could make it in here before the Manual/Auto/PDK debate, guess I was wrong.
Personally, give me whatever is fastest. - murkem, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1THEN BURY THE BASTARD.
- erkokite, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1Beautiful is what the Porsche looks like. Love it or hate it, you can't deny that they stand out.
- JPCOOLDUDE, on 02/09/2009, -1/+2Nice but I still like the 993 better than any of the newer Carreras.
- mhummel, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1Some say that the outline of his left nipple is exactly the same shape as the Nürburgring, and that if you give him a really important job to do, he'll skive off and play croquet...
- erkokite, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1The two are not comparable. The skyline is essentially a racing car. It would better be compared to the 911 GT3 or GT2.
- SpookyBoots, on 02/09/2009, -1/+2Oh cool.
- carlosos, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1Wasn't that about the 2010 Porsche 911 and some other edition of that?
- JakePM, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1the mid-engined cayman may be the new platform that Porsche starts to take to big events like LeMans, Sebring etc...it could very well be the basis for future factory efforts. the mid engined format just makes sense, though I don't think other teams will ever stop racing the 911.
- naml, on 08/14/2009, -0/+1I never thought about the design of the Porsche, I think the guy above is right, Porsche should hire new designers to come up with differentiation.
http://www.ferrarivsporsche.com - inactive, on 02/09/2009, -1/+1***** the woman, this is MY car.
- smacksaw, on 02/09/2009, -1/+1Actually, the back seat is terribly uncomfortable. Better to use it to go to a hotel with an hourly rate.
- gazzerman, on 02/13/2009, -0/+0Not a great deal changes from year to year except the fact that the old classics come up for sale at good prices every now and then. http://www.just911cars.com/
- swraman, on 02/09/2009, -2/+2glad to see they didn't waste money redesigning it
- Half-Fast, on 02/09/2009, -1/+1Phelps called. He wants his bong back when you're finished.
- thedinomeister, on 02/10/2009, -2/+1Porsche needs to hire some new designers...This car was beautiful, but the fact that they keep releasing the same look every year with minor tweaks just takes away the quality...the meaning behind what it meant to be driving around in Porsche. Porsche came out with the GT...why did that never get used as the flagship of newer designs? Porsche! Get your game on! You're lagging!
- lawlerskate, on 02/09/2009, -1/+0none. there was an elephant in the way.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -2/+1Except the weight balance is still too far back.
My BMW eats 911s with 100 more HP for lunch in the curves. - feliks2, on 02/09/2009, -2/+1Originals were designed by the same man, they are both German, similarities pretty much end there.
- magoo6684, on 02/09/2009, -1/+0"Ah, Richard Hammond appears to have joined us in his Volkswagen beetle."
- inactive, on 02/09/2009, -7/+4More of the same *****.
