- StigNordas, on 12/18/2008, -0/+6Very true, I bet car salesmen are willing to do whatever it takes to close a sale these days.
- alanocu, on 12/18/2008, -1/+5Just last week, sixteen SUV’s committed suicide in Bethesda, Maryland when overcome with guilt because their gas mileage was over the recommended levels needed to save the planet. They felt the resentment and hate directed towards them by the environmentalists.
I was afraid to leave my vehicle alone in parking lots for fear of bullying from low mileage cars and hybrids. And the irony is, my Hummer supported Kyoto. - satsukimiller, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1And right now one of those challenges is getting a car loan, even with good credit. the banks are sitting on all the cash we gave them instead of loosening up the credit markets. Still, if you can do, this is the time to buy.
- FajitasRecipes, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1This is a good time to be buying anything, as long as you have the cash.
- ritita, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1I feel like car salesmen will always do what it takes, even if we are in a recession.
- allaboutdatiki, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1While it is a good time to buy a car (given the financial resources, of course), a car should never be considered an investment (unless it's a collectible) ... it's an expense.
- cicadachirp, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1that hummer has your name on it... put it in a museum of american absurdity.
- simplesue, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1Used cars are still the way to go as far as I'm concerned.
- jojowasa, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1I think their using it as much as they can right now. Especially with the holidays.
- Trekhawk, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1Buy cash. Unless it's 0% interest, I never understood why someone would want to pay, say, $35K for a $30K car.
- Trekhawk, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1Financially, yes. But don't you hate the nagging questions? Whose had their mitts all over her interior. Under her hood. On her filler cap.
- Jabrams2, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1fine, maybe it IS the best time to buy a car now...but if only everyone and their mothers(literally) weren't getting laid off, we could afford to
- Odopoddie, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1it's the best time to live in a car.
- Zalian, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1You really should buy a car. Thats the only thing you will have left once your house is foreclosed.
- DiggieDarko, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1I bargain with car dealers for sport.
- RSTaichi, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1if you can afford to pay cash, sure.. what percentage of car sales are cash, though?
- Surferess, on 12/18/2008, -0/+0If I were in the auto industry I would be screaming this from every rooftop while there is still time!
- suhielhabib, on 12/18/2008, -0/+0Once you drive the car off the lot it decreases the value immediately. Except for a Prius or Mini.
