"Just look for a gigantic dildo; you can't miss it." - doublefelix, on 09/17/2009, -2/+40Could I order it to shift into a shape where the balls don't touch?
- Nayson, on 09/17/2009, -0/+24The technology to build it wont exist for about 200 years, so dont worry about it.
- kingpinup, on 09/17/2009, -4/+20dugg for making ***** up and slapping the label "concept" on it... Actually, I conceptualized a car last week that that had a bunch of little legs it walked on and it was shaped similarly to the globule, see: http://yfrog.com/06img04371j
- waspbr, on 09/17/2009, -0/+11typical industrial designer stuff. I mean as an engineer I really laugh my arse off at these concepts. The goddammed designers come up with a crazy impossible concept and hand it to an engineering team to make it work...
God bless those ***** crazy industrial designers - doomestic, on 09/17/2009, -0/+11Some might say it's a non essential part to a car, but nevertheless I'd like to remind you that... you forgot the wheels.
- kafka47, on 09/17/2009, -0/+10Dudes. You guys have cars. I have Globules.
Think about it. - Ragzouken, on 09/17/2009, -1/+11So these guys get paid to think up car designs that will never be made?
- Piha, on 09/17/2009, -0/+9Yep and don't forget the engineers who once in awhile SOMEHOW make some of those crazy ideas actually work...
- kestermatsumoto, on 09/17/2009, -1/+8Where does the luggage go? How do I open the window?
- Codik, on 09/17/2009, -0/+7How do you survive a crash in that thing?
- prrudman, on 09/17/2009, -0/+6How will a girl react when you offer a girl a ride home in your four big spinning balls?
- M3hdi, on 09/16/2009, -2/+8f'ing insane !!!
- jer21, on 09/17/2009, -0/+5"Haha...He doesn't know how to use the three seashells!"
- spo0oky, on 09/17/2009, -0/+5"Hey baby, come take a ride in my vibrating dildomobile."
- jgray1975, on 09/17/2009, -0/+5The Anal Bead 3000!
- TrueEyes, on 09/17/2009, -0/+4Shoot it with plasma-gun?
- pangzter, on 09/17/2009, -0/+4don't put your head out while the car is changing forms. also, wear a skirt.
- hallo2u, on 09/17/2009, -0/+4i never understood why companies spent money on developing things like that
i would love to be paid to do that but i dont get it - axelo, on 09/17/2009, -2/+6great, so then some jackass can take up to 4 parking lots at the same time to piss me off, thanks a lot
- ripple123, on 09/17/2009, -0/+4i thought concept cars were supposed to look good. this just looks futuristic. and not the good kind. more the cultish spandex wearing nightmare utopia robot controlled kind.
- UberNick, on 09/17/2009, -1/+4Securefoam, duh
- isnaurus, on 09/17/2009, -0/+3This is stupid, this car will never be made and just the look of the car, could you imagine what people would do to destroy that car if they saw it in public?
- Twasi, on 09/17/2009, -1/+4The Simpsons did it first.
- hallo2u, on 09/17/2009, -0/+3a car that transforms into a giant dildo ?!
- shady5500, on 09/17/2009, -0/+3I understand how you could get those four parts to move around, but how do you get a solid skin to cover it all that also changes shape? I don't think it will work.
- spthomp, on 09/17/2009, -1/+4Anal beads ftw?
- inactive, on 09/17/2009, -0/+2Glue... very powerful stuff
- Culyt, on 09/17/2009, -0/+2Well ***** duh. It's a transparent shape changing car.
They might of well said it was powered by magic rather than being electric.
With that said something similar could happen with the various types of nano technology thats popping up. Although probably not for 60 years or so. Of course by then I probably won't ever have to drive anywhere. Something using claytronics/catoms. Its getting some development from Intel currently (although right now its just small cylinders that magnetically lock together and some algorithms for producing shapes.
http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~claytronics/ - dystra, on 09/17/2009, -0/+2touche
- enivid, on 09/17/2009, -0/+2insane in the membrane?
- marx2k, on 09/21/2009, -0/+1Where we're going, we don't need...wheels.
- TrueEyes, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1Who needs wheels in the year 2100
- kkiran, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1One more Fing prototype which will never see the light of day!
- Wingin, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1No probs. It stacks up, so it just needs a small spot to park, not a big one.
"Peugeot Globule can park in a 130 cm x 130 cm space by arranging its parts on top of each other. The driver’s part is the only one in contact with the ground. In this state the vehicle can move with a very low speed and takes up a very small parking space." - TrueEyes, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1Marketing. Seeing something like this makes people think Peugeot is cool.
- KingGorilla, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1Pretty sure this is not one of those ideas
- cnldelta, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1Force fields and inertial dampeners?
The design probably calls for an eject button that would trigger a teleportation beam to transport the passengers to safety. - MWeather, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1What a coincidence, I just had a Peugeot Globule removed from my colon!
- ahtu, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1Wouldn't you get crushed when it starts transforming while you're inside?
- MWeather, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1"more the cultish spandex wearing nightmare utopia robot controlled kind."
Naa, that's the Peugot Mathmos. - MWeather, on 09/17/2009, -0/+1Who said the skin was solid?
- BasalCellBossk, on 09/17/2009, -9/+8This is the stupidest ***** thing I have seen... this week.
- DCGaymer, on 09/17/2009, -4/+1Ben Wa what?
- eur0pa, on 09/17/2009, -7/+2yeah, right.
SAGE - Kiters, on 09/16/2009, -9/+3Strangest concept I have saw...
