- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -3/+94YO DAWG WE HERD YOU LIKE AUDIS. SO WE PUT AN R8 ON YOUR COUGAR. SO YOU CAN DOUCHE WHILE YOUR PURR!
- beerwench, on 11/23/2008, -9/+91i think it looks like a piece of *****... and with $50k the dude should have gone out and picked himself up a nice bmw or lexus... not attached ***** to his ford/mercury
- maximilen, on 11/23/2008, -2/+73might fool the 19 year-old girlies at the dance club.. until they get in.
- alf86, on 11/23/2008, -0/+59It's the "R8" on the steering wheel that really sells the interior. /sarcasm
- cl2yp71c, on 11/23/2008, -2/+60$50k is still a lot for such a replica.
I rather auction my neighbors' kidneys and get the real thing. - bigdoglj52, on 11/23/2008, -11/+64Yo dawg, I heard you like cars so i put a car in your car so that you can drive while you drive!
- wohho, on 11/21/2008, -3/+51Truly, the worst website ever made.
- saikyan, on 11/23/2008, -0/+45$50,000.
*****.
There are so many better ways to burn that kind of money on a car, it isn't even funny. - emilgh, on 11/21/2008, -2/+42Finally! A Mercury that looks better than that chic in the commercials!
- dha07030, on 11/23/2008, -1/+36The Lambo in the basement was way better.
- saikyan, on 11/23/2008, -0/+27You must not have seen it from the rear. Or the side profile. Or the inside.
- samanathon, on 11/21/2008, -2/+27Here's his site: http://www.replicaaudir8.com/
- orangester, on 11/23/2008, -3/+28Waste of money IMO. I would've rather spent the 50k on a decent BMW or even a real Audi.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -2/+26Why go through all the work to have a tag on the front that as replica! wtf!
- darladoon, on 11/23/2008, -1/+23is it a coincidence that this post was right below the 'douchebag express' post?
- santaliqueur, on 11/23/2008, -0/+20I had no interest in visiting it until I read your comment. When you're right, you're right.
- barfooz, on 11/23/2008, -0/+19If he's able to buy the materials and equipment to build this, I figure he can probably afford a Lexus or BMW in addition to this car. It's for entertainment value...
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/23/2008, -1/+20Too bad it's still a Cougar, one of the most pathetic and unreliable cars on the planet.
- 4rp4n3t, on 11/23/2008, -0/+18Not much difference? Apart from saikyan's very valid points, what about the *performance*?!
- tech4crat, on 11/23/2008, -0/+1750,000 grand is 50 million you douche.
- malanic, on 11/23/2008, -0/+16Here's my replica of an A6. I suppose I should have spent a bit more time on the details, but I wanted to keep the costs down;
http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/3627/222cv8.jpg - Br3ach, on 11/23/2008, -0/+16what can I say, the man knows his options
- cl2yp71c, on 11/23/2008, -1/+17Hah...
$100,000 USD - megarobotguy, on 11/23/2008, -0/+14Wait...... your neighbors' kidneys?
- aobtd, on 11/23/2008, -10/+22eh, the Ferrari guy is cooler
- voodoozombie, on 11/23/2008, -0/+11yeah, I'd rather have a replica interior. The inside of the Ford looks like it should have an eight track.
- RUGERSP101, on 11/23/2008, -5/+16That lambo was sick and could rival the original. This is a piece of garbage. I have more respect for the kids in tricked out civics. Spending $50,000 grand on a fake audi is just sad.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -2/+13So? Chicks Don't know the difference thats what matters :P
- GliTCH82, on 11/23/2008, -0/+10No *****, I'm still working on my replica Honda Civic conversion of a lawn mower.
- Smills, on 11/23/2008, -1/+10Yo dawg, I heard you like maths so I put a function in your function so that you can derive while you derive!
- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -2/+11the countach replica wasn't too bad, seeing as you won't see one for a very very very long time, and it's been lost in the unknown since the Diablo and Murcielago took over its reign. A fair amount of people today have never heard of the original countach so it might as well be the same. and that replica was identical. This CougaR8 is noticeably a cheap ripoff.
- dan222555, on 11/23/2008, -1/+10I believe that's called a waste of money.
- MindTrigger, on 11/23/2008, -2/+11Yeah, because your opinion is the only one in the world, douche-nozzle.
- memper, on 11/23/2008, -1/+9Just wait until someone tries to do a quick lane change at 90 mph expecting it to act as it looks.
- joojoobomb, on 11/23/2008, -0/+8And you, sir, are most likely talking about the Countach...
http://jalopnik.com/5065896/hand+made-lamborghini- ...
So good try. Douche. - timdorr, on 11/23/2008, -0/+7BTW, this is what the original looks like approximately: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:2001-2002_Mercu ...
- rebotfc, on 11/23/2008, -0/+7i like turtles
- StolenLamp, on 11/23/2008, -0/+7The R8 is ***** gorgeous.
This.... not so much. - saikyan, on 11/23/2008, -0/+7Indeed. And when you realize that the Cougar was originally intended as the 3rd gen Ford Probe, it all begins to make sense...
- homercles337, on 11/23/2008, -0/+6Why? Why do people do things like that? Why do people use flash at all? From a usability perspective flash is the most evil thing on the intarwebs.
- KloroFormd, on 11/23/2008, -0/+6Can't say I like this one much. Lots of work with little accuracy to show.
- Abomonog, on 11/23/2008, -0/+6The new 2.2 liter Audi R8. Lovely.
He could have at least used a Neon/RT body so he could have a twin turbo mosquito powering his car instead of a normally aspirated one.
Way to insult Audi, dude. - LordofChaosIori, on 11/23/2008, -0/+6Yo dawg I heard you like killing jokes so I... shook my head in mild disappointment.
- rizzo2008, on 11/23/2008, -1/+7that thing is disgusting and with all that body work you are halfway to real one cost wise
- richofsilence, on 11/23/2008, -1/+7Not accurate enough and the 00s Cougar is one of the absolute worst cars ever.
- kelchm, on 11/23/2008, -0/+51999 Called. They want their flash based website back.
- aps234, on 11/23/2008, -0/+5Uhhh... to anyone who remotely pays attention to cars they'll know instantly that the car is a total fake and think the guy is a douchebag. And I seriously doubt you could pull off any performance stuff like this without rolling it... (skip to 1:20)
http://www.oncars.com/video/219/2008-Audi-R8-Quick ...
If you're dumping 50k into a car, get a real one...either a hefty down payment on a real R8, or put it down on something more practical like an M3. - tuanjello, on 11/23/2008, -0/+4if I had a real Audi R8 would he be willing to convert it to a Mercury Cougar for 50K?
