- marshallpeck, on 11/28/2008, -2/+11And no pictures?
- RiouG, on 11/28/2008, -1/+8Seriously, why would you submit an article like that without at least one or two pictures so the readers can visualize it.
- ripple123, on 11/28/2008, -0/+4advice to writers: no one cares about the crap that comes out your yap. the real star of the show is pictures. provide them.
- lilamae, on 11/27/2008, -0/+4I spend a good chunk of my day commuting to work and back (1 hr +) so I appreciate the Japanese emphasis on the car as private space. But more, I appreciate their high gas mileage emphasis.
- qdude, on 11/27/2008, -0/+4Good find, I might check it out in south ken.
- yobkeeg, on 11/28/2008, -1/+4maybe the big3 needs to send someone to the fair to get inspired

- d1a1s1, on 11/29/2008, -0/+2Wow, that article was so amazing I didn't even need pictures...just kidding, Buried
- painting, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1you have to search for it.

- Velocity14, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1Good to know that the Kyoto protocol is still being reinforced. I wish America was this focused on environmentalism and functional design as Japan.
- wilsondus, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1looks a lot like current model Scions, just squished a little.... not exactly a radical new designs or anything, but still nice looking. I like the one that looks like a VW beetle with the top chopped :-)
- inactive, on 09/16/2009, -0/+1I'd love to be in one of these car shows, be in American, Japanese or German.

- ZenMojo, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1Well, their suicide rate is higher. So...there's that.
Granted, so is their life expectancy, but at least we don't want to die. - s0m31john, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1Picture: http://www.ferrariautosport.com/wp-content/uploads ...
Japan, what would we do without you? - Jambi, on 11/28/2008, -1/+1Germans design may be solid, but it's generally ugly as hell. For good looking cars, look to the Italians.
- Adgeman, on 11/28/2008, -1/+1Let's face it; they've got the planes, may as well use them.
- trestevenson, on 11/27/2008, -6/+6Japanese cars are the *****.
- stk198323, on 11/28/2008, -1/+1Inspired by what?
You seriously need to be blind to prefer a Corolla to a Focus, a Camry to a Malibu, an Avalon to a Charger...
So how would this inspire them exactly? - jmcal, on 01/29/2009, -0/+0Nice a museum is setting up such a show. And the article is right, at least about the Datsun 2000. Really, many of the other designs from the Land of The Rising Sun were putrid. When they copied the British, I think they had a good idea.

- AgmLauncher, on 11/28/2008, -4/+3Boring is the philosophy underpinning Japanese car design...
All of their good looking cars are designed by Germans. - replaysMike, on 11/28/2008, -3/+1“Cars are being designed from the inside out” - as what, opposed to the outside in? I would expect that would be hard to assemble.
