- hacz, on 12/07/2007, -1/+15Where is Fat Stig when you need him?
- thomasjgamble, on 12/07/2007, -1/+14man the new gran turismo has crappy graphics...
- inactive, on 12/07/2007, -0/+13***** you Laguna Seca! That one goddamn blind/hill corner you have destroys me EVERY time, in EVERY racing game I ever play...
/thought I would get that off my chest - grantmoore3d, on 12/07/2007, -0/+9I like all the people here bitching about the guy not driving aggressively... I'd like to see all of you take your "Need for Speed" skills and apply them to a real car, that is being tested/not in production/expensive, and fly around a race track.
My biggest complain would be the ***** video constantly trying to get a light balance... annoying!!! - murakume, on 12/07/2007, -0/+8Not enough money for a hearing aid? For shame.
- Jipperson, on 12/07/2007, -1/+8The driver is Johnny O'Connell a Le Mans racer and races corvettes. This is a pre-production model and he is clearly taking it easy on it.
- jcaino, on 12/07/2007, -1/+8yea, i'm american and very much into american muscle/iron/etc. but that comment is just ludicrous. get off the intarweb.
- murakume, on 12/07/2007, -0/+6Isn't this thing supposed to beat out the power to weight ratio of the Enzos? I think I read it in an article over it, but I may have misread.
- FireStrife, on 12/07/2007, -0/+6Dude the Corvette is borderline supercar theres no way an M5 will take it down.
- MogusMaximus, on 12/07/2007, -0/+6Flip the toggle on your speaker to the 'ON' position. There ya go.
- YSSMAN, on 12/07/2007, -0/+4The $100K, American, Ferrari 599-killer?
This car is going to kick some serious ass! - jonorangelotus, on 12/07/2007, -1/+5It is outright hilarious the comments non-drivers will post online.
- Slick50, on 12/07/2007, -6/+9Guy behind the wheel (I refuse to call him/her a driver) is clearly scared of it and has no clue what a apex is.
- justinjacobs, on 12/07/2007, -0/+3Oh hey look, the Stig has a Digg account.
- Virgule, on 12/07/2007, -0/+2Turn-in at the "2" sign.........
- thurows, on 12/08/2007, -0/+2Warning, "Blair Witch Project" cameraman is the one in the passenger seat with the camera.
- HappyScrappy, on 12/07/2007, -0/+2This wasn't a track day, the car went out on the track between races on a race (ALMS) weekend.
But the rest of what you say is spot on. And if you watch, some of his throttle applications are good and some aren't. He was clearly going easy, presumably for the reason you state. - fuelvolts, on 12/07/2007, -1/+3Not so much a bad driver as it is probably a driver that is not used to that track and only got a few laps to get accustomed to it.
- MrSwap, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1And people have been complaining that modern games have an unrealistically HIGH amount of bloom and HDR.
- HappyScrappy, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1It's Johnny O' Connell. He can be heard responding to the "do you like the exhaust?" question at the end.

nothing else needs to be said...enjoy - kajoob, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1turn #8 gives me a bonar
- Motodog, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1The guy who owns that $100k car, needs to give his buddy taping something better than a HotWheels edition video camera.
- emilgh, on 12/07/2007, -1/+2Can't wait to see this bad boy in D-troit.
- HappyScrappy, on 12/07/2007, -2/+3What? He was on the gas ALL THE WAY through 5. Try that in your car and you'll be eating dirt.
- rizzo2008, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1Thats not the point of a car like this. How many people have a 50k to 1000k sports car? Not many. How many have SUVs for the daily commute to work? Way to many
- TwisteR, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1VROOOOOM!
- yeoldeskool, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1i hope thats drool on my jeans...
- S1ngular1ty1, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1I'm fairly sure he does since he is hitting nearly all of the marked APEX points on those turns. If you didn't notice, there are little red marks in each turn showing where the APEX is.
- oyourmom, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1Enzo? A F430 Spider could beat that car
- jonorangelotus, on 12/07/2007, -1/+2MOST COMMENTS IN THIS THREAD ARE DOOKIE.
I didn't even take the time to watch more than 30 seconds, because the camera shaking was nauseating. (And how many times have you been to a track day where the steward said, "Absolutely NO handheld cameras in the car!") ... So I wasn't watching his line, throttle application, etc. But I WILL remind you knucklewads that this WAS NOT the driver's car, and Laguna only eats up 3 or 4 cars every track event. It is a VERY unforgiving track with walls everywhere. I've seen everything from a Lotus Elise to a Carerra GT totalled at Laguna... So, yeah, I'd personally be driving cautiously were I driving a 2009 mule car. - trev0006, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1I want to see what the ZR1 will do at the ring, it will probably beat cars costing 3 times as much. http://www.dpccars.com/chevrolet/chevrolet.htm http://www.discountpartcenter.com/
- Virgule, on 12/07/2007, -1/+2Mean engine. This thing work!
I openly laugh at people who call the guy a bad driver or anything negative. The driver was not going after a world record. Its Laguna Seca! Conservative approach is paramount. It is far from the best run ever caught on tape but there is no poor driving here. - DJMajickman, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1And how do we know that this is actually the ZR1? I never saw the outside of the car, or for that matter any markings on the inside of the car that indicate what car it is.
- cawpin, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1You can hear the blower whine in the first 2 seconds of the video. It is a 1. New, 2. Blown, 3. Corvette. Those three things point to a customer made car or the new ZR1. The website seems to be pretty reliable so why wouldn't you believe it?
- Fumanchoo, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1You all realize that's Johnny O'Connell driving right?
- themajor, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1... but a pedal needs to be pushed.... at least a little
- rizzo2008, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1O another eurosnob. Did you notice the model year was 1965?
- JDaleS, on 11/10/2008, -0/+0Cool news!
http://www.acadapterz.com/
http://www.elbatteries.com/ - fen35, on 12/07/2007, -0/+0The car is really wonderful, but with the money that I have does not give me or to buy a wheel.
- Bense, on 12/07/2007, -3/+3I know that course better than that driver, and I've only seen & played it in video games.
- pinina73, on 12/07/2007, -0/+0very nice
- Deuterium, on 12/07/2007, -7/+7Who was driving the car, somebody's grandmother?
- smart55, on 07/04/2008, -0/+0looking for Cheap Flip Video Camcorder

- PH4GE, on 12/07/2007, -3/+1The driver is clueless. Learn how to brake and accelerate. Turning the wheel is optional...
- progrockguy, on 12/07/2007, -3/+0CAFE 100MPG (50MPG?) here we come!
