- fallingdamage, on 11/06/2009, -0/+35Given its significance, that DeLorean seems to be in a pretty low-security area and not kept up very well.
- inactive, on 11/06/2009, -1/+28Title should be "nerds posing with Delorean" Does the person who made this page know the meaning of the word "inside"? We never actually see inside the thing. One picture sort of shows the inside. But not really.

*****. It's the first god damned sentence and they're already ***** up. - thizzlebot, on 11/06/2009, -1/+18Pics would have been cooler without those douchebags in them.
And today is Nov 5, which marks the anniversary of Doc. Brown creating the flux capacator. - TheCollective00, on 11/06/2009, -0/+16I work on the Las Vegas Strip, and the other day, while I was standing in front of the casino I work at having a smoke, I saw a DeLorean Time Machine replica drive down Las Vegas Blvd. Even had a Mr. Fusion on the back and everything. I know that's not the most profound thing ever witnessed by mankind, but it was still pretty cool at the time :D
- RachelJTM, on 11/05/2009, -0/+13I want one so badly, I wish I was that guy on Vancouver Island that has one!
- yeeaauuh, on 11/06/2009, -2/+14LOL! They all look like they are looking for the big bag of hidden cocaine!!!
- carbonfilament, on 11/06/2009, -0/+12I'm a lot more interested in the vehicle than all the tools in the pictures.
Post description should have been - group of tools photobomb great pics of DeLorean. - dotuplink, on 11/06/2009, -2/+13Great Scott!
- eagles7977, on 11/05/2009, -1/+11I love the DeLorean!!!
- CrowquillZ, on 11/06/2009, -0/+10I wonder how many "original" DeLoreans there were and how many outside the movies were created for promotion (like at the theme park).
I'm still not convinced they "snuck in." Mostly because it would be really stupid to post pics on the internet afterwards. - hankthedwarf, on 11/06/2009, -2/+11Probably because there were at least a dozen DeLoreans used in all three movies and these guys have no clue if it's the 'original' or not (even though multiple cars were likely used in even the first movie so how can you even have one 'original' in the first place?).
This submission has all sorts of problems. - Pooball, on 11/06/2009, -0/+9Sorry (and happy) to say it guys, but this ain't the original. There were actually like 20 something "original" BTTF modded Deloreans used across the trilogy, and I'm pretty sure this is the bad dupe they used to schlep up to do the occasional display out in front of the old BTTF ride in Universal Studios Hollywood.
I can remember being so stoked to go up and take pictures of the thing, only to look closer and see that most of the original gadgets and details were missing... which lead me to believe that this was either a stunt copy used in long shots, or that they had just thrown something together for use in the park. - digitalArtform, on 11/06/2009, -0/+8And a stone's throw away on Cahuenga used to be http://www.snowcrest.net/fox/landmaster/

http://www.flickr.com/photos/rajnagra/283621671/in ... - Drunkenfool, on 11/06/2009, -0/+8true, I remember going to Universal in '94, and when you first went in they had the BTTF car, the wheels were sunk a few inches in cement, so it was going nowhere. the inside was trashed(the doors would not open), but you could see inside, coolest thing was, the clock was still on the dash, one used for the final clock tower run. when we took the universal tour, there was a backstage lot where there was 5 or 6 BTTF cars, collecting dust. these are just props, most don't even run. I remember seeing an article similar to this about 6 months ago, where peeps found an OG Ghostbusters car on the sony lot, collecting dust, severely neglected. Still would be fun as ***** to find them, and take some pics....good stuff.

- danielrh9, on 11/06/2009, -1/+7ONE POINT TWENTY ONE GIGAWATTS!!
- MrZaiko, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5Chronologically, The original Delorean would have the Mr. Fusion upgrade included.
/nerd - RPbbgun, on 11/06/2009, -2/+7Matt&Kim? DDDdddddigg!
- elislider, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5they really couldnt fit all 9 pictures on 1 page so it just HAD to extend to a second page with 3 more pics...
- MisterFurious, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5I worked at Universal as a "Doc Brown" for ten years. One of the perks was occasionally being able to drive one of the DeLoreans around the park. The transportation department told me that the car I was driving was one of the ones used in the first film. It appeared in one shot - when the rear exhausts shoot smoke into the camera. In fact, one of the distinguishing elements of the Delorean I used to drive was you could clearly see the rig where the smoke came out.
The Delorean in these pictures is not the one I used to drive. One of the few things you can clearly see in the pictures is that the exhausts do not have the rig for the smoke.
Is it one of the actual picture cars? I don't know for sure, but I can say that when the "Back to the Future" ride was open (it's now "The Simpsons" ride), they had a Delorean parked out front. However, it was a replica built by a fan - Universal had no Deloreans left to put out on display other than the one I would drive, which always had to be kept back stage when not in use.
Therefore, my speculation is that the Delorean in the pictures is NOT one of the actual ones from the film. It's the replica that sat rusting in front of the ride for decades. - phenger, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5Man...I hate to say it, but it looks like this guy's DeLorean actually looks 'better' than the original.

- elbarto89, on 11/06/2009, -4/+8Dugg for Matt & Kim
- Csaliture, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4Its kind of sad if the original DeLorean is really just rotting in some Universal back lot somewhere. Why not sell it or display it somewhere? It deserves a proper home.
- Fastmower, on 11/06/2009, -1/+5Damn hipsters ruined the pictures...heh heh, that rhymed
- thebreach, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4Buried because the title is blatantly trying to sponge the awesomeness that is BTTF in place of a bunch of geeks and their now wrecked original DeLorean
- gvoakes, on 11/06/2009, -1/+5Cool story bro
- qazws, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4Kinda dusty or rusty?
- gvoakes, on 11/05/2009, -0/+4He lives in Sooke, BC!
- hankthedwarf, on 11/06/2009, -1/+4I'm pretty sure they used multiple DeLoreans even in the first flick.

car looks super dusty as well..i wonder what cars are next to it...possibly other film vehicles? considering its next to a blockbuster car... - gizram84, on 11/06/2009, -1/+4Spelled Gigawatts, incorrectly pronounced as Jiggawatts.
- hankthedwarf, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Except for that dead walrus in the driver's seat
- Bkkgnar, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Every DeLorean has one of those.

- nategri, on 11/06/2009, -1/+3I want to go to that.
- designet, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1i heard they had to use ALL of the remaining cars to film the final sequence for part 3
so the one in the photos is most likely just a promotional tool - pjvdg, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1I doubt that's going to hit 88mph
- Bkkgnar, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1My band played with them when they came up to Alaska. I must say that they were two of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met. They put on a good show too.

- iborobotosis23, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1I heard that he was sasquatch. No, really.
- ModernGeek, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1It's sad that fans seem to care more about these things than the producers.
- LoungeActx, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1This isn't the original...if you look, it has neither the Mr. Fusion, or the place to put the plutonium. So, if it's not either of those cars, it's a fake. Oh and it's definitely not from the 3rd movie, cause then it would have white wall tires, and a big wooden thing on the hood.
