Improved Spark Plugs: Gas Price Slayer, or Snake Oil?
gas2.org — Could a stronger spark provide increased power through a more complete combustion of the fuel? If so, then, at least theoretically, less fuel would be needed for the same level of power - more complete combustion would be cleaner (less unburned hydrocarbons through the tail pipe as well as less fuel used overall).

- SVOboy, on 05/02/2008, -0/+1I hate to be the first one that says it, but I've had a friend try them and his car misfired so badly it couldn't run.
- Gemfinder, on 05/30/2008, -0/+1What kind of car was it?
- Gemfinder, on 05/30/2008, -0/+1I had these installed in my car ('03 4-Runner) and they are doing great. I realized a 2.5 MPG increase and acceleration performance went up about 100%.
I'd say "I love the looks on tailgaters' faces when I hit the gas and leave them in the dust" but I'm usually too far away, too fast, to see their reaction.
I just drove down to the Bay Area and had no trouble there, either. Very easy to escape the scary traffic situations there as well. On the way home, my car just glided up the Siskyou Summit at the speed limit without a single loss of power.
So now we have one person who says they had a bad experience, and one believer, both in real-world testing scenarios. Fair and balanced coverage :)
