Covered and climate controlled sidewalks that are above street traffic so you never have a crosswalk where you have to wait to cross. Since the weight on them would be so light, it would be incredibly easy to build them to connect all the buildings in a downtown area. People could finally ride a train into the city, get off at a stop within a mile of their office and still get to work quickly without driving. This would finally make public transit substantially faster than driving. Right now once you get downtown you are waiting for a bus from the train station, walking a significant distance (time really) or have to get a cab. This could finally be what the segway was hoped to be but never could because you can't carry a segway on a train or up an elevator.
