- MrWakeup, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1Part of the problem is the shop is kind of new to this. Second problem was joe was stringing them along with empty promisses that he would have the money from graduation and his grandfather etc.
It's a hard world out there. We all WANT to trust people...and sometimes SCAMMERS have a way of SCAMMING...or making you think you are going to get what you are supposed to get. And next thing you know...yer sending a Check out to some guy in Nigeria because he told you would buy your item off Ebay or craigslist, and that the money order is for $6000 dollars....you send him your item you sold him you send him SOME of the extra money and keep $1000 for your time....
Now before anyone knew this to be a fake scam.....I bet a few people fell for it from time to time in the beginning. Is it there fault? Not necessarily...But NOWADAYS.....If that happened yesterday....and you are a pro at ebay and craigslist and you fall for that.....I might not feel as bad for you. But I'd still agree that it may not necessarily be your fault..but if you are involved in buying and selling on the internet you should try to make yourself aware as much as you possibly can. - brohken, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1Joseph Dono (the scammer) is a douche bag.
