- Supernova36, on 04/03/2009, -0/+294Why does it stop before reaching the other side of the bridge?
- MarkusX, on 04/03/2009, -2/+120The guy was to lazy to finish or the Google Van went off the bridge. :-)
- voyetra8, on 04/04/2009, -3/+90Wow, it's just like video, only jerkier. Amazing.
- craftyshrew, on 04/03/2009, -0/+73I often do this when I'm stressed at work...Go for a leisurely drive in the country.
- maxtrix, on 04/03/2009, -11/+83FTA:
An especially awesome development would be to automate this, requiring only a starting and a finishing point. Suddenly, the nightly rituals of Google Mapsing great drives or pleasant strolls would be even more fun. - PacGamer, on 04/04/2009, -0/+68Just saved me $6 in tolls. Thanks!
- peteyb1313, on 04/04/2009, -2/+49Wow, it's just like a comment, only jerkier. Amazing.
- Myonosken, on 04/04/2009, -1/+39...thats the description.
- wejmahtin, on 04/04/2009, -1/+38Cuz you gotta pay the toll.
- tallarida, on 04/04/2009, -3/+31*troll toll
If you wanna get in the boy's hole - Namco, on 04/04/2009, -1/+28What's easier, mounting a camera on your car, driving to San Francsico, recording a drive over the bridge, driving back home, taking the complicated mounting apparatus off your car, and importing the video? Or putting together some screencaps from Google Maps?
- Memnochxx, on 04/04/2009, -1/+26too
- zaneperry, on 04/04/2009, -0/+25Direct link to flickr video: http://www.flickr.com/photos/joelaz/3385607140/

What an excellent idea! Google, get on this! - SwiftKick34, on 04/04/2009, -1/+24Didn't you get buried the first ten times you posted that?
- AlexC16, on 04/05/2009, -0/+16From the article.
- wejmahtin, on 04/04/2009, -0/+15Typing in 'crossing golden gate bridge' in the video section of any search engine.
- MooreWV, on 04/04/2009, -1/+15I'm concerned for you. The video was only 27 seconds long.
- ZeroFive1, on 04/04/2009, -0/+12Since google maps provides 360 degree shots, it could be possible to expand each drive to allow the moving of the camera in real time, which would be better than just taking a video.
- Jordan117, on 04/04/2009, -0/+12That's the one bad thing about Street View -- they've got *so many* pictures that the pace of moving down a street is glacially slow -- it takes like five minutes to go down a single block.
- yawkey, on 04/04/2009, -0/+12I love the enthusiasm, but I feel like you're saying boy's hole, and it's clearly soul...
- lewystud, on 04/04/2009, -1/+13you gotta pay the troll-toll to get in...
- xninjatylerx, on 04/03/2009, -4/+14you gotta love google
- p51d007, on 04/04/2009, -1/+11And I thought I had too much free time...
- DadOfATrainNut, on 04/04/2009, -1/+10I made a similar time-lapse through Zion's National Park in Southern Utah: http://www.vimeo.com/3963915
- inactive, on 04/04/2009, -10/+19So, um... Why not just take a video?
- CB810, on 04/03/2009, -1/+10very cool stuff... Would love to see more of these with famous drives...
- Namco, on 04/04/2009, -1/+10Because I can make that video without ever having gone to San Francisco.
- franklymister, on 04/04/2009, -2/+11Maybe MarkusX was too lazy to finish typing too.
- cowsgonemadd3, on 04/04/2009, -0/+9Look at BukkakePizza Profile everyone, he says the same thing everywhere mrbabyman posts.
- Fartbandit, on 04/04/2009, -1/+10Why wasnt he pulled for speeding? :o
- mcprogrammer, on 04/04/2009, -0/+8That's what the article said, but it's not actually how he did it. From the flickr page: "I just manually clicked through the Google Maps Street View for 15 minutes while recording it as a screencast and then sped up the video..."
- NastiestNate, on 04/05/2009, -2/+10Wow, I'm jerking off on your mother. Amazing.
- jdmCrush, on 04/04/2009, -0/+8I drive that exact route every goddamn morning to commute to work. I had to find this on the weekend, didn't I?
- Joest23, on 04/04/2009, -0/+8That was pretty cool. You can even see how that guy in the Buick cut the Google street view van off at :13.
- choopie911, on 04/04/2009, -0/+7Can you find a video of what you're talking aboot?
- krolm, on 04/04/2009, -0/+7it's a great way to give people directions. i hope google develops a feature like this.
- StigNordas, on 04/03/2009, -1/+8That's beautiful. I hope more are to come, its a nice way to tour a city.
- lewystud, on 04/04/2009, -0/+7would be great if they could incorporate this type of automatic street view trip between two points - would need a fast connection
- eq2s, on 04/04/2009, -0/+7There was a bend in time and space.
- BrendanJB, on 04/05/2009, -1/+8An'if we don't get no tolls, then we don't eat no rolls.
- xenuxenuts, on 04/04/2009, -0/+7maybe he's on dial up?
- fattony89, on 04/04/2009, -0/+6google should add a feature that allows you to do that. wouldn't be hard, just take sometime to load depending on how far you want it to show.
- indythought024, on 04/04/2009, -0/+6um....i dont think anyone said it was google. Google maps just provides what this site uses.
- Pinkertinkle, on 04/04/2009, -0/+6That's a nice drive when its not completely smothered in fog.
- andrespereyda, on 04/04/2009, -1/+7that's funny
- 80hd, on 04/04/2009, -0/+6http://www.neaveru.com/digg/stats/BukkakePizza/max ...
haha wow - mrASSMAN, on 04/05/2009, -0/+5So that's what it's like to drive backwards in a national park..
- WickEd101, on 04/05/2009, -0/+5Weird how many people didn't read the description but enjoyed this.
- inactive, on 04/04/2009, -2/+7No.
- skippyrandom, on 04/04/2009, -0/+5Dark, yes, but a very interesting film. There are more reasons to watch it than the fact that it has actual footage of people jumping to their deaths...but those are definitely the most intense moments. The whole film is great, in my opinion.
The last guy they show jumping, the one that they build up throughout the entire film...it's incredible. Even beautiful. He falls with such grace, with such willingness.
For anyone interested, the entire movie is on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N9dsxYgF7c -
