- zetec, on 02/16/2008, -4/+45If only Ford USA could apply the Euro or even Aussie styling to their hideous US line.
- frasermoo, on 02/16/2008, -3/+28the quicker North America gets out of its 'big is better' phase the better. I'm looking at an MDx and it offers nothing tangible for the money. pick up truck? get a ***** life unless you are a contracter. and even then a van will do.
- Pattyo13, on 05/14/2009, -4/+21next thing you know, a majority of US cars will have a diesel engine
- zephc, on 02/16/2008, -4/+20I'm waiting for the 2010 Ford Pinto
- ileftfark, on 02/16/2008, -0/+13Those are actually life-size prints. Print out and drive!
- ileftfark, on 02/16/2008, -0/+13What does she do around babies or small animals?
- waspbr, on 02/16/2008, -1/+13as in more fuel effiicent? Welcome to the rest f the world
- TheG2, on 02/16/2008, -0/+11Millions of ***** looking civics beg to differ.
- gl77, on 03/31/2008, -0/+11actually the Aveo is surprisingly roomy inside. i can fit the bodies of at least 2 ten year olds in the trunk of my aveo sedan quite easily. 1 adult body. perhaps 1 more of each with the seats folded down.
- SmackMyMac, on 02/16/2008, -11/+22I think Fiesta is still a fitting name. Attending a Fiesta and Buying a Fiesta both more than likely involve tequila and a strange sense of regret after the fact. Not to mention waking up having to stare at something butt ugly.
- frasermoo, on 02/16/2008, -0/+11your gas prices are rising my friend. you wait.
- crazzy88ss, on 02/16/2008, -0/+9It's a cleaner burning set up than POS trucks and old 1980s mercedes use.
- Amazetbm, on 02/16/2008, -0/+9Why would that be a problem?
- nnpl, on 02/16/2008, -0/+8Hmm. I clicked...
3 pictures in quite narrow 800px and one very narrow 1280px... not really what i would call wallpaper size, not in 2008 anyway ;) - KMartSheriff, on 02/16/2008, -0/+8Amen. My only complaint (looks-wise) about this is the stereo.
- protogenxl, on 02/16/2008, -0/+8I want a 2 liter rally version.
- fancyj, on 02/16/2008, -1/+9couldn't they have come up with a better name. fiesta makes me think of tostidos. mmm chips and salsa. i retract my statement. the name stays.
- lukas88, on 02/16/2008, -3/+11Yikes, it isn't a bad looking car, but it is only a matter of time before we start seeing these things "pimped out." They are going to do horrible, horrible things to it.
/shudder - waspbr, on 02/16/2008, -0/+8isn't that the whole point of diesel to begin with?
- TheBigSquid, on 02/16/2008, -1/+8$3+ for a gallon of gas means people will not ignore this car. Small cars are becoming the trend in cars in America.
- nnpl, on 02/16/2008, -0/+7well... there are not. ;)
not of the fiesta anyway - kaffein, on 02/16/2008, -0/+7I actually like it a lot... very stylin'.
I just got a 2005 zx3 ford focus which is better for me though, I can fit 2 4x12 Marshall cabs in the back. :) - schnikies79, on 02/16/2008, -0/+7We don't have the refining capacity to produce that much diesel.
- Spamcan, on 02/16/2008, -3/+10I'm glad small cheap fuel efficient cars are starting to make a comeback in the US, but when did this "3 door" "5 door" thing start? It's a freakin' hatchback, they've been making them for decades.
- gl77, on 03/31/2008, -0/+6***** park bench sized spoiler on the back and a huge ass loud fart pipe sticking out from underneath.
- alvarezg, on 02/16/2008, -0/+6Cut the crap, how many mpg?
- Subriot, on 02/16/2008, -1/+7The interior of the car looks so comfortable.
- waspbr, on 02/16/2008, -1/+7when your are in a (tight) budget () as most students are, you would probably look for milage instead of looks...
- inactive, on 02/16/2008, -1/+7Terrible name, all it does is remind me of the Ford Festiva.
- loopbiz, on 02/16/2008, -6/+12Cute car! - I'll have to hide this pic from my wife - she will want one
- schnikies79, on 02/16/2008, -1/+6Every heard of tree huggers or N.I.M.B.?
Good luck getting anything in the way of new refiners built. - PixelEater, on 02/16/2008, -0/+5No, it is the symbol of American pony car.
- tightscrummy, on 02/16/2008, -0/+5And it's probably made in Mexico like the old one.
- nnpl, on 02/16/2008, -5/+10Wallpaper size pics can be found at http://www.netcarshow.com/ford/2008-fiesta/
- sadisticfruit, on 02/16/2008, -0/+5So what, they already had a Ford Fiesta, my buddy had one in high school. They started calling the Fiesta the Fiesta back in '76.
- pritch, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4Why do you say that? The 2002 European version got 4/5 in the Euro NCAP safety tests, putting it in the same class as my massive tank of a Volvo!
http://www.euroncap.com/tests/ford_fiesta_2002/141 ... - fotbr, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4RWD isn't popular with the "you have to have front wheel drive to drive in snow" mentality common in many places in the US. And BMW, while making some great cars, does tend to be on the high end of what people can afford. Also, the 318 wasn't really that small of a car.
We'll see how their 1-series sells over here, but again, 30k+ for a compact car isn't going to have a huge market. - TheG2, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4Pointless argument of first comment....check. Yep, it's still Digg.
- capturedpenguin, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4I'd love it as long as it still explodes when it gets rear-ended.
- schnikies79, on 02/16/2008, -2/+6I can't push a rick out of the extremely hilly woods I harvest the firewood from. Sometimes I saw it several miles away. I don't buy it and have it delivered.
I have no problem moving it around once I have it at the house. - akatherder, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4You're missing out on a lot of space if you haven't taken the spare tire yet.
- fuzzylogic, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4I guess you've never been behind someone running B100 biodiesel, then. It smells like french fries!
- schnikies79, on 02/16/2008, -1/+5Sorry I trailed off there with the ***** stuff. I just get annoyed easily.
Anyway, I agree that owning one because bigger is better is a large bit of *****. - pixelguru, on 02/16/2008, -1/+5My dad owned a '78 Fiesta (bright yellow no less) in which he taught me such advanced driving skills as off-roading, jumping, reverse-doughnuts, and e-brake U-turns. What a great little car that was.
- schnikies79, on 02/16/2008, -3/+6So I could haul a large cement mixer and 1500lb of bagged cement mix in a van?
Umm, no. - cockaroachie, on 02/16/2008, -2/+5Will it give me diarrhea?
- danandre, on 02/16/2008, -1/+4You Americans call this small?
Here's a small car: http://i31.tinypic.com/e6ez3k.jpg - adooga, on 02/16/2008, -0/+3We call it "spam". Welcome to the internets.
- way2muchsense, on 02/16/2008, -0/+345 MPG in Europe, 29 MPG in the USA. You knew that already.
- adooga, on 02/16/2008, -1/+4No, and neither can the stupid.
