- bendiggn, on 12/04/2008, -1/+97The Tesla roadster isn't sexy?
- inactive, on 12/04/2008, -2/+57The Elise Chassis that Tesla modeled is sexy as ***** and has been around for years... wtf, dodge makes electric "sexy"? HAH!
- Wolfcaster, on 12/05/2008, -2/+41this is so cool, its like a Tesla only it is slower and get fewer miles per-charge!
- perre, on 12/04/2008, -5/+34Sometimes I wish we lived in an alternate universe where instead of taking corporate jets, the heads of Ford, GM and Chrysler drove hybrid or electric roadsters to Washington for that first meeting.
Sigh... - JasonHilton, on 12/05/2008, -1/+29You guys know it's just a regular Lotus Europa that Dodge bought the rights for and put an electric motor in right?
- stpirate, on 12/04/2008, -2/+28I'd hit it.
- cwpeck, on 12/04/2008, -1/+21Sometimes I wish I could have 3 more wishes...
- itsradBrad, on 12/05/2008, -3/+19You guys are falling into that media influenced pool of average American jackasses.
Who gives a ***** if they take a corporate jet? It doesn't amount to a drop in the bucket of the ***** things that these folks have done.
Why not complain about something significant?
Perhaps the killing of the EV-1 or the self-sabotage that they have been inflicting on the industry. The way they are holding us over the barrel while the oil industry shoves pipe up our figurative asses. - centerblack, on 12/05/2008, -1/+17The interior is fugly. I'm sick of these "open" interiors. I had to drive this Jeep Commander (11 MPG City, WTF) while my 330i was in the shop... they rotated the ***** dash/controls toward the passenger!?!
Car makers, next time you go to the drawing board, plaster your walls with pictures of the BMW E30 and E36 M3 for... "inspiration". Thank you. - buckygrad, on 12/05/2008, -1/+16And doesn't cost $120K.
- Trekhawk, on 12/05/2008, -0/+14Now they just need to get affordable and feasible as everyday transportation.
- wrenchone, on 12/05/2008, -0/+13I'd hate to be the CEO of Schwinn in your universe.
- Demos27, on 12/05/2008, -0/+11Agreed, the whole point of driving a BMW is to enhance the experience of the driver...not the passengers.
- oep4, on 12/05/2008, -0/+10digg this comment if you LOVE the e30 body style.
- Juaquin, on 12/05/2008, -3/+12Sure it looks ok (Tesla is still better), but we all know this is just Dodge screwing around, going through the motions of pretending to develop an electric car while still producing 15mpg SUVs.
- Junior612, on 12/05/2008, -1/+10http://www.upi.com/topic/electric_cars/4/
A purse built into the center console? - winterorchid, on 12/05/2008, -0/+9Like they did this morning?
- nerdherder, on 12/05/2008, -0/+8Its about time they made them look like normal cars instead of something from a sci-fi movie.
- oep4, on 12/05/2008, -1/+8thats interesting
- Fuel90, on 12/04/2008, -1/+8I want to go FAST!!!! (and not harm the environment)
- DarkShroud, on 12/05/2008, -0/+7I don't see why not. If I could afford a Tesla I'd buy one in a heart beat. Many people I know say the same thing. Through we'll probably be stuck buying the Volt instead of Tesla.
- scoottie, on 12/05/2008, -0/+7with a freight train
- iatethecake, on 12/04/2008, -7/+13too little too late...
- oriondr, on 12/05/2008, -3/+9...for like 10 miles and then have to recharge
- TheWorm, on 12/05/2008, -1/+7It would look sexier if it wasn't painted like a bee
- scoottie, on 12/05/2008, -1/+6that would mean that CEO's would actually have to be smart and not just some douche bag that back stabbed his way to the top.
- Valyn, on 12/05/2008, -0/+5True its a drop in the bucket, and makes no difference i the end. But it proves how wasteful they are, and their general attitude that congress owes them money. They expect the handouts.
You always hear about middle class people dressing up as a homeless guy and bumming change off people. Even they understand you dont fly to San Francisco, pull up your limo on a random street corner and stand there in your name brand suit and ask for change. - kclyons, on 12/05/2008, -1/+6Publicity Stunt fo sho
- centran, on 12/05/2008, -1/+6Someone needs to design an affordable consumer electric car. Except do not design it with batteries or hydrogen or fuel cells in mind. Just design the car with electric traction motors and no "fuel" component. The car would be semi "plug and play". You can add an ICE or batteries or fuel cell or air tank.... whatever! As long as you provide the motors with electricity(doesn't matter through what means) it will run.
This way the core design is sound and as different technologies and "fuel" sources become prominent it would be easy to convert to the new tech. It would save an automotive company in R&D in the long run. - jfdolier, on 12/04/2008, -0/+5I might even pay.
- tgc1, on 12/05/2008, -1/+6Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that a rebadged Lotus?
- InsaneOni, on 12/05/2008, -0/+5Currently what I'm looking for as well. That or an E36 M3, depends on how much I can put together. The E36 and E30 BMW's are some of the most beautiful cars in my opinion.
- laim, on 12/05/2008, -0/+5i was thinking of this
http://www.personalfinanceanalyst.com/wp-content/u ... - Demos27, on 12/05/2008, -1/+6Disgusting interior.
- Ultomato, on 12/05/2008, -0/+4http://www.fiskerautomotive.com/
solar panels on the roof, 0-60 in 4 seconds ftw, 4 doors for the family AND cheaper than the tesla ftw - em00guy, on 12/05/2008, -1/+5Wow! your right. Minus the paint job it's nearly cosmetically identical. I was so proud of them till just now.
- brownsound00, on 12/05/2008, -0/+4that's how i treated your mom last night
- fluidfoundation, on 12/05/2008, -0/+4Don't say that, that car ***** guy might come back.
- cowsgonemadd3, on 12/05/2008, -0/+4But the passengers have felt left out for years. Isn't it their time for some love? I mean everybody needs love.
- captainzerocool, on 12/05/2008, -2/+6Yes, that Lotus chassis and body do look nice. To bad about that Dodge logo...
- inactive, on 12/05/2008, -0/+4It's a prototype and concept car people. I highly doubt we'll ever see it in mass production
- bluechigger, on 12/05/2008, -2/+6This is a Lotus Europa. Only Tesla took the sweet Lotus engineering/Toyota manufactured engine out and put in a couple of Duracells.
I'm all for electric/hybrid whatever, but at least design your own body. And to agree w/ some of the posts above. People that want sports cars do not want electric sports cars. They want electric everyday drivers. I want my GT3 to burn most of the fuel I saved over the week driving my Civic Hybrid. - goffy59, on 12/05/2008, -0/+4Electric cars have been sexy. Look at http://www.teslamotors.com/
Lame title. - oep4, on 12/05/2008, -1/+5the dodge EV's exterior is nice, interior sucks. the volt's interior is really nice, and the exterior is nice because its mainstream. i foresee the volt doing the best out of all these three
- truck87bp, on 12/05/2008, -1/+5The future of Electric cars is just around the corner, check it out, Electric car eats everything at the track.

The future is just around the corner. - Cvandoren, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3go for the M3, its worth every extra penny
- roxgod666, on 12/05/2008, -2/+5Yes but does that car come with a pussy magnet attached?
- nickfartzone, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3Right, because America and Europe are the only places where cars are made.
- DavidTurnbull, on 12/05/2008, -1/+4Tesla Motors' cars aren't sexy?
- krische, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3Uh, thats exactly what the Chevy Volt is. It is a gas engine now. There are also plans for bio-diesel and fuel-cell.
