Electric Car Built in Canada : Illegal to buy in Canada

cbc.ca — With all the concern over carbon emissions you'd think the Canadian government might be able to permit a Canadian built green vehicle to be sold here. If they legalize them I will probably own one.

  • RogerStrong, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1There's nothing illegal about electric cars in Canada. But if you want to drive it on the road, it needs to meet some basic safety requirements. The Tesla, Volt and EV1 would meet them. This one does not.
