- huff51, on 03/08/2009, -0/+15it would be nice if they program a middle finger in there. that way, when the douche bag behind me has on his bright lights, i wont have to slow down to convey my disappointment.
- aggiegrad, on 03/08/2009, -0/+8I'd hate to see the bill of the first person that rear ends one of those cars
- BossKey, on 03/08/2009, -0/+5Can it display "Hang up and drive!"
and goatse, of course - cl2yp71c, on 03/08/2009, -0/+5Car2Car texting..oh noes.
- nerddtvg, on 03/08/2009, -0/+4I've always dreamed of having OLED screens covering all my windows with a control box that would let me send messages to other drivers, such as "Get the ***** off my ass, otherwise I will go slower. Thank you and have a nice day."

- inactive, on 03/08/2009, -0/+2hi tailgater: Oil, nails, smoke, and stink bomb to be released in 5.4.3.2
- carbonetc, on 03/09/2009, -0/+2This is a bad idea. We take for granted how helpful it is to have cars on the road with somewhat standardized design conventions (i.e. red brake lights go here, yellow turn signals blink at this rate, etc.). It allows us to react quickly and automatically when we're milliseconds away from getting into an accident. If you start allowing for customization of these features by letting drivers plaster lights everywhere, people on the road will get forced to take a moment to figure out what sort of information each car in particular is transmitting. Frequency of accidents will skyrocket.
If this is just supplemental and the core conventions will remain untouched, well, ok, but do you really think all the idiot drivers out there need yet another distraction placed in front of them? And how many people are going to get shot or rammed into out of road rage when they can start displaying their preprogrammed insults at each other? Am I going to be in their crossfire?
I like that other drivers are basically faceless machines to me. And I like that I'm a faceless machine to them. It's one of the reasons any sort of orderly interaction on the road is even possible.
If this was done by automakers adhering to strict design standards it could be very cool, but give the drivers control and I promise the road will look like MySpace within a year. - feliks2, on 03/08/2009, -2/+4"keep tailgating until I speed the ***** up to appropriate levels"
- ThatGeek, on 03/08/2009, -0/+2screw that windshield, i want that car!
- inactive, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1So instead of looking at a sea of brake lights in front of you, you would see a bunch of crazy screens likely to give you a seizure causing you to crash into a gas station which blows up and kills hundreds of people.
- Weather, on 03/08/2009, -0/+1The design of that car is excellent. It looks as though you can actually use and see out of the rear window without the need for backup cameras. It's too bad so many manufacturers are foregoing form over function.
- inactive, on 03/07/2009, -1/+2really a bitchy
- teamgwho, on 03/08/2009, -0/+1Awesome now I can display "get out of the hammer lane" when I'm stuck behind someone doing 45 MPH in the left lane of the Turnpike.
Written in reverse like they do on ambulances of course. - rand0mm0nkey, on 03/08/2009, -0/+1That is really, really cool.
- ogermino, on 03/08/2009, -0/+1Looks like it also displays your speed for all to see. That would make the traffic officer's job a lot easier.
- iguanapunk, on 03/09/2009, -0/+1Now you would be pissed off if someone smashed that window!
- musicalplane, on 08/25/2009, -1/+1that gigantic obnoxious "stop" sign popping up all over the road during a traffic jam and the potential for people modding their cars and displaying weird stuff......
might irritate other drivers..... - c8h8r8i8s8, on 03/08/2009, -3/+1I would like to see an inside view.
(that's what she said)
