- demonfafa, on 10/25/2009, -2/+164Actually, each time seems to be a case of the driver not listening to the directions of the mechanic, not the other way around.
- cuevas4711, on 10/26/2009, -0/+126When did they change the universal signal for "STOP" to "FLOOR IT!!!"?
- Chapman9110, on 10/26/2009, -1/+108New Company Policy:
Customers drop their cars off outside, mechanics drive customers' cars into garage. - firewall1, on 10/26/2009, -1/+79Those people driving the cars are stupid. Looks like in each video when the garage worker motions them to stop, the morons floor the gas.
- JustinNoland, on 10/26/2009, -1/+67You know what scares me? These people have licenses to operate motor vehicles.
If you can't avoid driving your car into a goddamn 20X4ft hole in the ground (with hand motions to guide you, no less!), why should I expect you to be able to avoid driving over a six inch wide line on the highway and hitting me? - strictnein, on 10/26/2009, -0/+46The whole what?
- jerryd71, on 10/26/2009, -4/+49i go to garage like this to get my oil change, don't have to be a ***** rocket scientist to know that you have to center your car with the whole. this was pretty funny, especially when the mechanics are freaking out telling them to stop
- ed4649, on 10/26/2009, -2/+42Agreed, the submitter is an idiot for thinking that it's the mechanic's fault every time.
- woofers07, on 10/26/2009, -0/+32I don't think they were all the same place, and it was clearly the driver's fault in every case. The last one was the best, the mechanic holding his arms up like, "What the ***** is wrong with you?"
- Iamien, on 10/26/2009, -0/+27hole*
- skcolb, on 10/26/2009, -2/+29In California, we don't drive our cars into the garage. Causes cancer or something.
- smacksaw, on 10/26/2009, -0/+21It's trutv, their website is *****. Right click on the giant black box and tick the Play box.
- angrytortilla, on 10/26/2009, -1/+22Exactly. Why these companies rely on customers to do this is beyond me. Clearly they are not aware of how ***** the general population is at driving.
- guinpen, on 10/26/2009, -1/+19yeah! it's the shop's fault that the drivers freaked out and kept driving instead of taking it very, very slowly and keeping an eye on where they're going, they should be able to operate heavy machinery however fast and without attentiveness they want without fear of bad things happening. it's also the state's fault when i pop a tire on a curb because, why would they make them so VERTICAL?
- rahga, on 10/26/2009, -1/+19You must be a joy to have at dinner parties.
- v3rtex7740, on 10/26/2009, -1/+19since dumb
- jerryd71, on 10/26/2009, -0/+17damn spellcheck, made me assume my grammar was correct
- smacksaw, on 10/26/2009, -0/+17They thought he was taunting them like a bullfighter and they thought they were a bull trying to spear him.
- veins, on 10/26/2009, -1/+16why are these people so stupid?
- smacksaw, on 10/26/2009, -0/+15Actually AaronCo, the better approach is to pay attention.
- Wazzuper1, on 10/26/2009, -0/+15Spellcheck only exists to help you with your spelling :P
- guinpen, on 10/26/2009, -1/+16not hard? go for it, make some money
- aychseven, on 10/26/2009, -0/+15i agree. how did these people pass the driving test? i've been living in japan for a while now, and it's such a stark contrast in driving ability compared to america. every day i see these people park with amazing quickness and precision into the tiniest possible spaces. a few weeks ago some dude ran his jeep into a light pole and it was ***** headline news. i used to hear about that type of thing happening a few times a day when i lived in vegas (gotta be some of the ***** drivers in the country)
- Jaryd2006, on 10/26/2009, -0/+14@AaronCo
If while driving you cant tell where your tires are on the round and dont have the ability to align a hole with the middle of your car I dont think you should be driving. You have trouble getting a car through a car wash? No one I know has ever had problems getting on that track.
Do you hit every single pothole on the road because you cant align them between your tires?
Please get out from behind the wheel for the safety of everyone else. - SpeedSteamBoat, on 10/26/2009, -1/+14Not cheap to implement either.
Considering the 99% of everyone pulling their car in there isn't going to be so stupid as to drive directly into the big hole in the ground, I think it'd be a pretty poor investment for the shop to spend money a system to save the paint jobs of the stupid 1%. - NoUltimatum, on 10/26/2009, -0/+12learn to drive.
- InactiveUser, on 10/26/2009, -1/+13This beats them all - especially the end...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uLECuGK07U&fea ... - aychseven, on 10/26/2009, -1/+13that'll buff right out
- immatellyouwhat, on 10/26/2009, -0/+12I have never seen a customer drive their own vehicle into a shop, the mechanics should ALWAYS do it!
- nyrol2, on 10/26/2009, -1/+12What a great segue...
- Shamusjp, on 10/26/2009, -1/+12I accidentally the whole car.
- enclaved, on 10/26/2009, -0/+10As a teenager I've worked in places with these things.
They are not hard to drive over if you're used to it.
Why are the employees not driving? It was a requirement of our insurance that only employees pull cars into our bays.
This is the shops fault for letting people drive their own cars. Because some people are morons.
And Aaron, the hole is long and easily viewable in front of the car. So unless you're blind or not used to you know, lining your car up in between lines this is hardly a challenge without someone guiding you. Also putting stuff on top of the hole defeats the purpose of it. - fuzzynyanko, on 10/26/2009, -1/+10If it was a mechanic driving, I'd be tempted to get my oil changed there to collect on their insurance.
- seansan, on 10/26/2009, -0/+8Yes.
- DerekV, on 10/26/2009, -1/+9I'm sure the submitter was thinking that it was the staff driving the cars into the hole.
- reed311, on 10/26/2009, -1/+8Hmm, it takes 2 seconds to disable adblock on one page, but how long did it take you to post this comment and then wait for a reply? Come on!
- fety, on 10/26/2009, -0/+7..Speaking of oil changes...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiCAJ8ULnaI - giveer, on 10/26/2009, -0/+7Geez AaronCo, you've got a LOT to say in defense of those people who GO when someone screams STOP.
I had no idea it was that confusing, never mind be complex enough to warrant the ***** of paragraphs you typed. - saltydawkins, on 10/26/2009, -0/+6Blaming the shop is the root of all society's problems.
- InMSWeAntitrust, on 10/26/2009, -0/+6I forgive you.
- noahgelman, on 10/26/2009, -0/+6Case and point?
- smacksaw, on 10/26/2009, -0/+6Dude you are blowing it. Your comments are /facepalm
YOU NEVER NEED TO TOUCH THE ACCELERATOR BECAUSE YOUR FOOT SHOULD NEVER COME OFF OF THE BRAKE. SINCE CARS HAVE AN IDLE, THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY MOVE WITHOUT PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS KEEP YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE.
Why are you making excuses for these people? Did you drive your car into ditch or something recently? - v3rtex7740, on 10/26/2009, -1/+6Absolves them of liability. The customer is on tape failing at the simplest of tasks!
- tgc1, on 10/26/2009, -0/+5Why didn't the garage simply put a tire catch / guard up against the side of the hole? Like at the automatic car wash. A guide post of some sort. Could have saved them a hell of a lot of time with these idiots.
- nathron, on 10/26/2009, -1/+6i hear they're bad at sex, though..... just sayin.
- maurovz, on 10/26/2009, -1/+5TrueTV? Again????
- Wazzuper1, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4Afterwards, you may have to click on the speaker icon to enable volume as well.
- festizian, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4I considered this as well, but then in the last vehicle I saw that the driver was wearing a nice white shirt, obviously not a mechanic driving it in.
- aychseven, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4@asheis
i never spent any time with tourists aside from the occasional visiting family member. and how would hanging out with drunk people have anything to do with seeing accidents or hearing about them on the news? maybe you're just a ***** idiot.
i grew up in vegas. moved there in 1985 and left at the end of 2007. i worked a few jobs that involved driving around the city a lot so i saw a lot of accidents. between that and watching the news every day you see what is going on on the streets.
everyone i knew in vegas had been in at least one accident, even if it was a very minor one. hell, i was hit on two separate occasions just sitting at the stop light in the middle of the day. just because there are wide streets doesn't mean people know how to drive. if you've ever driven the freeways while it's raining you'll know what i'm referring to. - Ajajadude, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4Garages in California aren't for cars. They're for stuff you need to store.
Can't fit a normal sized car in a garage out here anyway... -
