- 2Pharcyded, on 07/14/2009, -0/+6the first one is clean as hell
still my favorite concept though... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pwabDeqVi8&fea ... - Auraness, on 07/13/2009, -0/+6The second one looks like it came straight out of "Hydro Thunder."
- visionaryIX, on 07/14/2009, -0/+5I nearly made a mess in my pants after looking at the Citroen.
- DocHoliday22, on 07/14/2009, -1/+6Ugliest cars ever. Some of them would look good on a Nintendo 64 game....
- oatmealsnap, on 07/14/2009, -0/+5Are these the cars you will be driving in the future?
No. - katagana, on 07/14/2009, -0/+4I would include the Ford Model-U in that.. Now that is a revolutionary car! - http://digg.com/d1MOCy
- Myztry, on 07/14/2009, -0/+4There seems to be two categories. The mundane and the ridiculous.
The mundane cars are okay as far as they are basically standard cars with different kinds of power plants but that hardly them makes them futuristic. Kind of like choosing the diesel or petrol version, except their electric.
The ridiculous cars don't seem to offer anything revolutionary new besides looking silly. Okay, they have alternate power plants like the mundane 'futuristic' cars but little else. There's nothing like detachable sections for solo driving (why waste fueling carrying 4 empty 'human luggage' spaces during the weekday). No provision for auto exchange batteries. No 'fly by wire' or 'crab crawling' for automated parking. No Bi-fold doors (vertical or horizontal) for non-obstructive compact passenger/cargo access.
There's just nothing outside 'it looks like...' There is no "Wow. What an amazing idea." - rabidbob, on 07/14/2009, -0/+3Cars in the future won't have drivers ... they'll do that bit themselves. By the end of our lives we should see the end of vehicles being controlled by their passengers; traffic management will be run by the cars communicating with each other. Traffic jams will be a thing of the past and accidents caused by driver error will no longer happen.
In theory anyway. - CptBuck, on 07/14/2009, -0/+3Cars of the future? Inevitably, no.
My favorite example is the Chevy volt, which originally looked like this http://reviews.carreview.com/files/2008/04/chevy_v ... and had me damn excited about the future of GM.
But now looks like this

And i'm not the least bit surprised that they went bankrupt and leak money like a sieve. - wannaBdug, on 07/13/2009, -0/+3#3 or #9 would work for me.

WHy do they include all the pretend electric concepts thrown out by Chrysler in desperation, but not the Mitsubishi iMIEV which may actually happen?
http://www.ecolopop.info/wp-content/gallery/miuv/I ... - Pxtl, on 07/14/2009, -1/+4If it doesn't exist on a showroom floor, it's not a concept car, it's a pretty picture.
- xyu1, on 07/14/2009, -0/+3haha, I thought it seemed familiar. I hope they have the balls to actually make it.
- Frixionburne, on 07/14/2009, -0/+3If I recall, the Citroen was designed partly by the guys that make gran turismo.
Just a fun factiod. - skipvt, on 07/14/2009, -0/+3Buried for no nuclear powered flying car.

- inactive, on 07/14/2009, -0/+2I hear that GM are working on making a car that doesnt look like it was straightened after an accident.
- felman87, on 07/14/2009, -0/+2I'm pretty sure some of these cars are from Wipeout.

- greenvortex, on 07/14/2009, -0/+2The thumbnail looks like Zam Wessel's vessel.
- SumoSniper, on 07/14/2009, -0/+2I agree. I'm sick of these 'concepts' that are essentially the equivalent of a 5-year old's fantasies.
"It will go a million miles an hour and it will use no fuel and it will be made out of cardboard and nobody will die because it's safe... and... and... here's a pretty picture!"
These 'concepts' have no basis in reality. -
