- Wholekernalcorn, on 02/24/2009, -3/+9How neat! A casket you can plug in and drive!
- avengingturnip, on 02/23/2009, -2/+6To put it in perspective, it is like a sub-compact with a four gallon tank that takes six hours to fill.
- fuknlightn, on 02/23/2009, -2/+6POS
- panda88, on 02/23/2009, -4/+8And with adherence to which safety standard(s)? China's car manufacturers are notorious(ly) bad for their crash safety levels.
And electric car...so what anyway, how do you think electricity is made in China? The vast majority with coal of course.
Plus take into consideration what happens to the toxic batteries when their life has been extinguished. Shall we dump them in a landfill and pollute the earth's soil and our water supply? Or shall we dump them in the seas and oceans and pollute those?
So this "clean" car for China isn't looking so clean after all.
I will pass and opt for a safe (and probably cleaner), german made V6 or V8 for my family thanks. - MacEnvy, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4I don't recall anyone saying it made up their environmental record.
- knowitman, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4Chery is a Chevy ripoff in China that makes cheap Chevy clones that are notorious for being mobile caskets.
- MacEnvy, on 02/24/2009, -2/+5Centrally located coal plants producing electricity are still several times cleaner than burning gasoline in every car.
- mhud, on 02/24/2009, -0/+3It's good that you can plug-in this EV. I am getting pretty tired of buying a new electric vehicle every time my new cars' batteries die.
- MacEnvy, on 02/24/2009, -0/+3But only a few minutes to fill to 80%.
- rdldr1, on 02/24/2009, -3/+5I dare someone to buy one. These Chinese cars received a ZERO crash test rating. It's Chinese birth control.

- agentinfinite, on 02/24/2009, -0/+2So what does an electric bill look like from having an electric car? Better than the price of gas?

- sndream, on 02/24/2009, -1/+1Since we are showing crash test. Look at this one about F150
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB0araA0T_k - HiroOfShadows, on 02/24/2009, -2/+1Chery? lol
- willtrithart, on 02/24/2009, -3/+3You can't call them "clean cars" when the electricity comes primarily from filthy coal.
- bedake, on 02/24/2009, -3/+2Thats the attitude that keeps people buying SUVs, thanks
- twertyto, on 02/24/2009, -4/+2So what? Doesn't make up for the fact that China has the worst envirnomental record of any industrial nation. Instead of making these cars they should devote effort into shutting down their "electronic recycling plants".
- kimonokiller, on 02/23/2009, -6/+2Interesting.
