- diggit83, on 01/17/2008, -0/+13ummmm buy this car and you can see that any night of the week
- entrophize, on 01/17/2008, -3/+13I'd rather see a hot chick take her top off.
- ipek, on 01/17/2008, -3/+12Really sexy:) But here's what happened to about 300 of its Coupe brothers:
http://digg.com/autos/15_million_worth_of_BMWs_dam ... - inactive, on 01/17/2008, -3/+8My dream car. I actually just had the opportunity to drive a BMW for the first time the other day while car shopping with my girlfriend. There's nothing like driving a BMW. I loved every second of it and I can't wait until I can afford one of my own.
- Y0tsuya, on 01/17/2008, -0/+4Lexus IS-F only comes with auto transmission. Enthusiasts (mostly men) who want the M3 would not touch the IS-F. When you buy it you're making a statement that you're too dumb/clumsy to learn manual. But they would buy it for their gf/wifes, thereby making it sort of a chick car.
- pfloraday, on 01/17/2008, -1/+4I'd prefer a sedan, but that's still a hot car.
- scripthead, on 01/17/2008, -0/+3Sexy! Alas, 450 extra pounds is extreme, even with a solid roof and all the mechanics.
- kingofinternet, on 01/17/2008, -0/+3that way everyone can see how much of a ***** you are.
- serif69, on 01/17/2008, -0/+3450lbs extra? No thanks. I'll stick with the sedan.
- drastik21, on 01/17/2008, -0/+3They should make a "sissy car"section on digg for all the hybrid loving princesses.
- zspeed78, on 01/17/2008, -0/+3The corvette will be worth less (not worthless) sooner..
- zspeed78, on 01/17/2008, -0/+3Yes, lets talk about the reliability of the most winning club racing vehicle of all time.
- Deejster, on 01/17/2008, -0/+3White? C'mon..
I like the lines of the old M3 better. This one looks like an Audi. - mstump, on 01/17/2008, -0/+3don't say the car's topless, say it's titties is out.
- heartcoldfusion, on 01/17/2008, -0/+3pssst: Get a used e46.
- strictnein, on 01/17/2008, -2/+5You need to get a girlfriend first.
- rizzo2008, on 01/17/2008, -0/+2Maintenance and warranty repairs are free for the first four years/50k miles with the BMW. After that though...
- retral, on 01/17/2008, -0/+2White never really did look good on BMWs.. Black or bust!
- rizzo2008, on 01/18/2008, -0/+2You obviously don't own one because the 2006 did come with a four year warranty you twit
- jaybol, on 01/18/2008, -0/+2where did you leave it? with the keys in it? can you give me directions
- MScrip, on 01/17/2008, -0/+2That might make a difference if you're drag racing against an M3 coupe... but a 420hp convertible will still haul ass.
- mogebier, on 01/17/2008, -0/+2It's pretty, but it looks like every other BMW.
- rizzo2008, on 01/17/2008, -0/+2the Top Gear *****-O-METER!!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/halfbyte/2136703337/ - cr3ative, on 01/17/2008, -1/+3Why, does your mother not fit in the Sedan?
OH SNAP YO - Carburetor, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1I'm a big fan of BMW, but that specific model looks like a lego car.
the gapes between the doors/hood is too big, and that's ugly (even tough the design is great)
I guess dark color will make the gape space less bold. - damnyooneek, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1i wonder if its made with carbon fiber like on the coupe. nonetheless every sweet car.
- Falldog, on 01/17/2008, -1/+2I wish they had more pictures with the top up, it looks just as slick with that. *starts saving*
- LordRedSnake, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1I agree about the old M3. This one just doesn't do it for me. Looks too bloated. And I don't see the resemblance to an Audi, but I'd definitely take an RS4 over this just based on looks.
- rizzo2008, on 01/17/2008, -1/+2Coupe is better
new M3 convertible ...just in time for you posers this summer - cslawren, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1thats all good and well, but as history has shown, the suspension suffers on a convertible version of a performance car when you compare it to its hardtop counterpart. the real question here is whether the cornering abilities of the M3 will be maintained/will it be as fun to drive or have bmw made a mistake that so many other car companies have made? only time will tell.
- enorganik, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1M3 still looks sexy after all these years.
- TheHayze, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1An Audi? I don't think so. Audis have a very unique look to them, what with their huge audi grill, and the small touches around the car. the new e90 BMWs look nothing like the new 08/09 Audis.
While I agree that white isn't a very good colour for the car. Black is a far better choice in my honest opinion. - inactive, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1What I meant was the BMW coupes are my dreamcar. the M series to be more precise.
- BigPapi, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1I just got a used 05 330Ci Coupe (e46). To me, the car is perfect. Couldn't be any happier. I'm sure the new M3 is an amazing ride.
- TheLoneHoot, on 01/17/2008, -2/+3psssst... Lexus IS-F FTW
No? compare Lexus' reliability with that of BMW. - brettro, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1Dugg for the correct usage of "its" .... and for an awesome car.
- TheHayze, on 01/17/2008, -1/+2I disagree, obviously, with your opinion. I believe convertible > coupe > saloon. But that's really more of a personal taste thing. So I cant possibly hold it aga8inst you. After all, it takes all kinds, right?
Although I cant disagree with you on the M5. I mean, the M3, and the M5 are built for different demographics, and different situations. The M3 is obviously built for sport, and the track/young man in their 20s, 30s. While the M5 has always been the wealthy exec's car. Who enjoys having some damn good power underneath the bonnet, but with oodles of tech to play with. But the M5, in my opinion, has always been the better looking car out of the whole //M lineup. Even the //M Roadster/Coupe. It's just simply much more appealing to the eye to stare at. - inactive, on 01/18/2008, -1/+2Hopefully with the new m3 come with a warranty. My 06 I do not think included one. Plus the tires keep blowing out which is lot of fun at 120 mph. I just left the piece of crap on the side of the road
- martynda, on 01/17/2008, -1/+2Get a late 330Ci manual, can be had for ~$28-29k, throw in a trade in, and it costs as much as a new Accord or Camry.
I did this, get a smile on my face every time I sit in the car. I even go driving around aimlessly just to drive it. - saleem, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1convertibles are never purchased because they perform BETTER. they are aesthetic and that is priority #1.
- Carburetor, on 01/17/2008, -0/+1gape/gapes = gap/gaps, oh my..
- s3am2003, on 01/26/2008, -0/+1All M3's come with a 3 year warranty in the UK at least. Nice looking car, but not really what M cars have been about, too heavy for one.
http://digg.com/autos/BMW_M3_Convertible_A_History ... - Sainthax, on 01/17/2008, -1/+1I finally jumped on the BMW bandwagon awhile back with an e46 325Ci with SMG, now I'm #19 on the waiting list at my dealer for a new M3. You will not regret owning one.
- Dezelon, on 01/17/2008, -4/+4buy the corvette vert because its lighter (400lbs), faster 390rwhp stock, and more affordable under 50K
- ravkass, on 01/17/2008, -0/+0Now we're talking. Let's see a metallic blue build.
- 883XL, on 01/17/2008, -1/+1how is that even a factor? we're talking about price to performance. If you actually track these cars, they'll be equally worthless when it comes to resale. (due to the wear and strain on the drive train) The corvette will be a lot cheaper to maintain.
And since we're on the subject of corvettes vs. bmw. The corvette will probably get more looks on the street compare to a bmw that, to the majority of the public, looks like any other 3 series. - leftcoastfunk, on 01/17/2008, -2/+2Here you go then:
http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/AllBMWS/Fut ... - lupuz2k, on 01/17/2008, -0/+0http://clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?p=31957 ...
even from a Lexus forum. I swear, that was the first link that came up :) - Y0tsuya, on 01/17/2008, -1/+1@TheLoneHoot
Auto tranny? DO NOT WANT.
People who buy M3 tend to be the sporting type who shift their own gears. They won't touch a slushbox. -
