- svensko, on 12/02/2008, -0/+20Nissan has big enough nuts to make the GT-R when other import companies won't even touch sports cars (see Toyota). Major props to Nissan!
- ashwin100, on 12/02/2008, -0/+19Er, Nissan Skyline GT-R?
- Homerr, on 12/02/2008, -1/+15"the base car will come in around $30,000, with the top-of-the-line model topping out at about $35,000."
Wow, I was expecting $10k more! - ohnoerino, on 12/01/2008, -2/+12No, but you can HAZ.
- svensko, on 12/02/2008, -7/+15and then blow the roof off of your own car. (LOL GM QUALITY CONTRL!)
- turtlegroove, on 12/01/2008, -5/+13I never knew a Nissan could be so cool..
- Jeepinator, on 12/02/2008, -0/+8Sometimes the turbos are part of the engineering. The BMW 335 is a good example of this. It's dual turbo system is very advanced and has a very low amount of turbo lag. It's all about the kind of power you want. Turbo engines may lag a bit in the lower RPMs but quickly overtake at higher ranges, while naturally aspirated engines of equal power have a more even band.
- Br3ach, on 12/02/2008, -1/+8Performance and retro done right, I tip my hat sir
- dogstylee, on 12/02/2008, -1/+8Why is that site designed for people with 400*600 screen resolution wtf
- smurfz, on 12/01/2008, -1/+8That's suave as *****!
- ez12a, on 12/02/2008, -0/+6that downshift rev-match is quite an interesting feature.
- StigNordas, on 12/01/2008, -5/+11It's nice to see a normally aspirated car put out those kind of numbers. Seems like turbos and superchargers are thrown in too frequently in place of pure engineering.
- jhamer, on 12/02/2008, -0/+6The rev matching is a really cool feature and should make track driving that much easier, and you can turn it off if you want to heel-and-toe. I can't remember who but some tests got 0-60 in 4.9 (1 foot roll out) and 101ft 60-0 which is very impressive. Also check out how the g37 (same engine as 370z) sounds; Nissan can make a mean sounding v6.
- moredown, on 12/01/2008, -5/+11I can has?
- Jeepinator, on 12/02/2008, -0/+5Nissan has been cool since the original Z.
- frieddonuts, on 12/02/2008, -1/+6It'll run over Crisis.
IRL>virtual. - Emachine, on 12/02/2008, -1/+5A new 350Z starts at $28,510 on nissanusa.com, but starting price on nissan.ca is $49,948. What the *****?
- stickstickly, on 12/02/2008, -1/+50–60 mph, sec:
5.1 AND 12.8????!!
Anyone else notice those specs? - ez12a, on 12/02/2008, -0/+4I lol'ed.
- SexyFarts, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3Damn, that's sick. I might have to sell my '07 Lexus IS350 and get another 350Z, I mean, a new 370Z. I sold my 350Z when I moved to the city because it was stick but it was hands down the best, most fun car I've ever owned. Every day I see one on the road, I get nostalgic and remember how much fun it was to drive.
Still driving stick around the city is no fun especially when there's no where you can really open it up. So I may have to consider just getting the 7-speed auto...or move. - KittySpark1es, on 12/02/2008, -2/+5Looks and sounds great Nissan. Now can you bring by the Silvia/240sx?
- dancantone, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3At least they stay true to the look.
My pops had a "Datsun" 240Z that had 160 mph on the speedo. (I don't think it could do it)
Cool car though!
This car still has some of the look of that old 240. - Dylson, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3I did. Have you seen their new line of vehicles lately? It's an awesome blend of style and driveability.
- stuhr727, on 12/01/2008, -1/+4That Nissan is ridiculous!
- tech9, on 12/02/2008, -1/+4i'm hoping the 350z will drop down in price now so I can finally buy one. used of course...
- disfunctlguru, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3too bad there's prob. still a blind spot when driving that is the size of an elephant...
- jisrael, on 12/02/2008, -2/+5you're interested in nothing but straight line power. The 350Z is a lot of fun to drive and sometimes that matters more.
- fernplant, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3If you click 'See more specs' below that it shows 0-100 12.8
- karan1003, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3It's a sad that only nissan is producing sporty cars. I miss the supra - the IS F is no replacement, and neither is the LF-A.
- karan1003, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3a lot of cars have that shape.
- MrSteamTank, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3Hey Kevin. Let's use that little nifty website to convert it to the equivalent in Canadian dollars.

35,435.65 CAD
United States Dollars Canada Dollars
1 USD = 1.24292 CAD 1 CAD = 0.804557 USD
So we get charged an extra 14,000 dollars for a car that is just as likely to built in Canada as the US? I think the proper name for what Emachine is talking about is "Getting horribly ripped off". - theremixtrack, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3looks like a mix of the 270z and 350z.
- AROZ, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2Or a Dodge Challenger...
- jhamer, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2I think the second time it was a supposed to say 0-100 in 12.8.
- york2600, on 12/02/2008, -1/+3Comparing the price of a used sports car to a new one just isn't fair. Also have fun with the parts and warranty on that car in a year.
- Awla, on 12/02/2008, -1/+3It's interesting how the new 370z is closer in style to the older Datsun 280z, whereas the 350z is closer to the more recent 300zx. Just thought I'd put that out there, for anybody who may have noticed.
- TriplePlay2425, on 12/02/2008, -3/+5Good price. Other than that, it's not terribly impressive (not disappointing either, just saying that it's not incredible). But as stated above, will make a good blue collar man's sports car, for those that don't want a Mustang.
- blinktude, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2i've been driving saab 9-5 aero for almost 5 years now and there is a turbo lag under 2100 rpm but with the S button pressed, the sudden rush of power is quite fun when overtaking a car.
- Rousterfar, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2Because it's not like $8k is a lot of money,
- inactive, on 12/01/2008, -1/+3I like the subtle differences between it and the 350.
- fiji5555, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2You can has.........if you have the money to pay for it........which most of us don't........that's why I can Has a 1988 Toyota pickup truck instead.
- keno8719, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2Still out performs the Porsche Cayman S and is $45k cheaper.
- phore, on 12/02/2008, -1/+3Lexus (toyota) seems to be trying to get into the sports cars now with the IS F. The M3 still kicks its ass tho.
- karan1003, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2it's ugly as sin compared to this.
- BlueCadenza, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2http://2009gtr.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-to-fix-nis ...
Don't freakin use the launch control when your going to Von's. - karan1003, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2the vette can handle, silly. Unfortunately, it's one of the few american cars that can.
- frieddonuts, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2I saw it at the LA Auto Show and can attest to it being even cooler in person. Everybody was surrounding it and it totally stole the GTR's fire.
- badfrog, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2I sold my 2003 in July for just over $15k. Guy got an OK deal, but it was just the base model.
Now to save for a 370Z... - stufflebean, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2Tell me more about this 270Z. Is it anything like the 240/260/280Z?
Kidding aside, I'm glad to see a bit of retro back in the Z. What I really want for the next Z is something like this:
