- beauley, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1Each of us, at one time or another wanted to take a picture of some event and there just wasn’t enough light in the scene to capture it correctly. Use the “flash”, that’ll do it. Not so, if we are at an auto race after sunset. A flash is only good for short distances and the autos at the track may be at a distance of 50 feet, or more. What do you do?

- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1I cannot speak on the technical side, but I think that whatever is done to spread the opera culture (as part of the Culture in general) deserves a special eye.
Culture makes the difference between civilisation and progress. I sincerely think that it is the base to best progress. - nutellabot, on 06/13/2008, -0/+0I'm dismay at how many freaking links I have to click to get to the video. But yeah, here's how you can download those videos to your own hard disk:
Get to the video, for example, the quicktime format, right click on the pop up windows, to "view page source"/or similar, at the source page, look/search for "mov", yes, copy the link starting with "/ams/data/....", then append what you've copied to the page's address (the page where you clicked the "quicktime......" video formats), merge out starting from /ams/ of course.
E.g. what you've copied is "/ams/data/A1001001A07J24B40309A44186/13511QTHigh.mov", append it to the page address "h**p://www.digitalsipario.com/ams/directLogin.jsp?USER_ID=spectator", you got "h**p://www.digitalsipario.com/ams/data/A1001001A07J24B40309A44186/13511QTHigh.mov". Now download it using Firefox, or whatever thing you wanna use.

Don't they do anything exciting anymore? I'm a web developer and I don't need to be IBM to do a lot better than that for probably a fraction of the cost.
