Youths say book rescued them from sex-and-drug culture
worldnetdaily.com — "The Marketing of Evil" – the controversial bestseller that caused a national uproar after "gay" college professors accused a librarian of "sexual harassment" just for recommending the book to freshmen – turns out to be having a surprising effect on young people, some of whom claim it has rescued them from a life of corruption and degradation.

- rjwusa, on 05/12/2008, -11/+19A fine book. I've read it and I recommend it. Those on the left will attack both the message and the messenger when they come across this digg submission, They shun the truth and enjoy being closed minded and morally bankrupt.

It's amazing how much you know about me! I'm not sure I could have put it quite that well myself. Now that I think about it, you must be right. I shun truth, and my clearly apparent lack of morals is far more enjoyable than I'd ever realized before.
Life must have gotten so much easier for you after you found a way to dismiss every single person you disagree with as an amoral piece of dirt. I wish I felt that I had the option to think the same of you, but I know how naive and ridiculous that would be.- Nannybell, on 05/13/2008, -2/+4E, do you consider yourself on the Left?
- eir574, on 05/13/2008, -1/+5Depends on the issue. With most social issues, though, I'm on the left, and that seems to be what most people are referring to when they talk about how people on the left are immoral idiots who have no interest in truth and maybe even want to destroy the country.
But, why do you ask? Is that particularly relevant to what rjwusa said or the response I gave? If I were on the right, I could just as easily have given the same response to point out the flaws in rjwusa's post.

- kelly, on 05/12/2008, -6/+17I purchased the book a couple weeks ago after hearing a recommendation from someone here on digg. Of what I've read thus far, I consider it a great book. I'd definitely recommend it.
- AlwaysAwake, on 05/12/2008, -3/+5Books and ideas don't "rescue" people. It is people sharing our unconditional love to help each other, that allows us to find our way back to the freedom of being here and now without escaping from life, or negating it. One+One= A BIgger One
- Nannybell, on 05/13/2008, -3/+2Truth rescues people.
- USNavyBlue, on 05/12/2008, -6/+12The book is definitely an eye opener to people that don't realize they have brainwashed. I know I have lent the book out to several people that believe everything the "MSM" says. Now they have opened there eyes and passing it along. There is hope one small step at time.
- KCLorelei39, on 05/12/2008, -6/+12I've read it; I own it and I'm looking forward to a discussion group this fall at church based upon this book.
Books are very powerful, indeed; the Bible is a prime example of the power of the written Word ; )- Nannybell, on 05/13/2008, -3/+3The Bible is powerful because it is the Word of God, given by the Holy Spirit.
- animalwheeler, on 05/13/2008, -1/+1I haven't read it yet; but would like to soon.
