It's also the only "safe" one, because any of the others brings in predestination and such and therefore makes it impossible for you to do *anything* that hasn't already been pre-planned for you to do...

And obviously he survived Claus von Stauffenberg bomb that was directly under his table. It is messed up, but really he should have died mutliple times and did not. 2) If you went back in time and killed Hitler, he would have appeared to you to have been dead the whole time, and you never would have felt the need to go back in time to kill him. A paradox.
3) Alternatively, assuming branching realities, you could go back and kill Hitler, but upon returning to your time things would appear to be normal, since your action created a branching timeline. The first problem is that it was a made for tv movie. One thing that irked me was that made for TV movie where they fudged history and made it look like Hitler whined and bitched to get a medal, i'm sorry but he DID earn that medal through bravery running messages, why do we have to change history, we already know he is an SOB from what he did later in life.
